What Is Asynchronous Transmission?
Asynchronous transmission, also known as start-stop transmission, is a kind of data communication that does not need the sender's and receiver's transmission speeds to be fully synchronised with one another. This mode of transmission is also known as start-stop transmission. Imagine that you are writing a letter to a buddy of yours. In synchronous transmission, you and your companion must compose the letter simultaneously. Asynchronous transmission, on the other hand, allows you to write at your own speed and transmit it when you're through while also allowing your buddy to read at their own pace and react when they're ready to do so. You may send it when you're ready. In information technology parlance, this indicates that each character (or "byte" of data) is transmitted with a start bit and a stop bit, which indicate to the recipient when the character begins and when it concludes. Because of this, the transmitter and the receiver can function at different rates without losing any data.
