It's like… well, you get it. AWS is the most reasonable thing to happen to human civilization since Uber Eats and Netflix combined into one glorious package! Amazon Web Services (Short for AWS) is a bundled remote computing service that provides cloud computing infrastructure over the Internet with storage, bandwidth and customized support for application programming interfaces (API). Launched in 2006, AWS is offered by cloud solution concept pioneer Amazon Inc. Amazon's internal IT resource management built AWS, which expanded and grew into an innovative and cost-effective cloud solution provider. With the help of this service, companies can now use their resources more efficiently and effectively than before. In the early days of cloud computing, Amazon realized its host servers were approximately 50 percent below capacity. It was a problem they were determined to solve. The solution? AWS. AWS also quickly switches between its services with its one-click software installation process. Now, more than ever, businesses are changing their infrastructure to Amazon's cloud. They are also migrating their software to Amazon's servers to receive the same benefits as those who use the cloud for their software. With more users on Amazon's servers, the company's infrastructure is under significant strain and may have to be upgraded to accommodate the growing customer base. As more businesses shift their infrastructure and software to Amazon's cloud, more pressure is put on the company's servers, which may require additional investments to handle the growing load. Now that Amazon has proven that cloud computing works for businesses, it will likely upgrade its servers to accommodate its growing customer base. AWS resides on the same infrastructure as the host of Amazon's other Web properties, such as Webstore, which also means that it offers 24/7 support via phone or chat no matter where you are in the world!

If your phone company knows more about you than you do, it's probably Carrier IQ. Carrier IQ is a company that provides analytics software to various telecom providers. The problem with this is that there needs to be a way for an average user to know whether or not her carrier has installed these programs on her phone. The fact that this kind of information is being collected without our knowledge or consent raises serious privacy concerns—yet we have no say in whether or not our carriers can do this. Privacy advocates are up in arms over the Carrier IQ scandal, which involves a company collecting performance data on smartphone users. Carrier IQ gathers performance data, tracking and logging what users do on their phones. This can include calls made, texts sent, and emails received. While this is not necessarily an invasion of privacy in terms of content (e.g., Carrier IQ does not have access to the actual content of phone calls), it does present a risk to user privacy because it allows third parties access to information about whom you called or texted, whether you're using your phone to browse the web or send emails, etc. The issue came to light when reports revealed that Carrier IQ had collected information about users' phone activity without their knowledge or consent. It was reported that some phones were even sending data from users' text messages directly to Carrier IQ without permission from the device's owner!
