What Is Installation?
Installing something is like making it ready for use. It's not rocket science, but it can be challenging. Installation is the process of making hardware and software prepared for use. Different systems require different types of installations. While specific installations are straightforward and can be performed by non-professionals, others are more complex and time-consuming and may require the involvement of specialists. Installation is an integral part of computer system administration, and it is often the first step taken in configuring a system to perform some task or service. The installation involves software programs, peripheral devices, firmware updates and patches to existing systems, and other related activities. There are two broad types of installation: physical and virtual. Physical installation pertains to installing physical equipment such as computer hard drives, cables, modems and so on, while virtual installation refers to software installation. Both types of installations can be categorized as expert-only or straightforward, depending on the software installed. For example, Windows Installer installations require expertise to be done correctly and successfully. On the other hand, web-based software installations are often as straightforward as wizard-based installations that are common with consumer software and frequently available on websites for download. Different software installations include Windows, web-based, and single exe software installations. Installing a computer can be much more fun. First, you must find the treasure chest (or, in this case, the computer). Then, you must figure out how to open it up and get inside. Finally, if your luck is good, you discover a big pile of gold inside! Only sometimes. Sometimes you find yourself with only an empty box or a pile of sand. That's why we've put together these helpful tips for installing your computer so that when you open up your package, what's inside will be exactly what you want—and nothing else!
