To begin, you gather your ingredients, which are your data, and then season them with your hyperparameters. A spice's flavor intensity can be significantly altered by its quantity, just as in the kitchen. But unlike in the kitchen, you can't just try it to see if it's done. You use a tool called cross-validation that allows you to test small portions of your dish to see how it turns out.
