What Is Force Touch?
We're all used to tapping, swiping, and pinching our screens. But what if you could do more than that? What if you could push? That's the idea behind Force Touch, a feature promoted by Apple for use in its phone and smartwatch designs. It brings new functionality to the conventional touchpad and touchscreen, standard features in modern mobile devices. It is how it works: when you press down on your phone or watch screen, you'll feel some extra resistance from the device—and that resistance will vary depending on where on the screen you press you might also notice that your phone vibrates when you press down. This idea is simple: give users more ways to interact with their devices to do more things faster and easier. You can think of it like this: some things are better done with one finger than two fingers; others with two fingers than three; and so on. For example, if I want to zoom into something on my phone's screen using Force Touch technology, I just put my finger down hard enough so that it feels like there's some resistance from the screen. It is also believed that Will uses Force Touch to launch shortcuts and open new menus, offering an even deeper level of control for people who need more than a standard touchpad. It is also assumed that Force Touch will allow for greater accuracy when navigating around the screen. Because We Can apply pressure to different levels, We Can use Force touch to zoom in and out of pictures and other content on the touchpad. Force Touch is the next big thing in smartphone technology. It's so new that we don't even know what to call it yet. Some say it's a "touchless touch", and others say it's a "virtual touch". But whatever you call it, one thing is clear: Force Touch will change everything you thought you knew about using your phone.
