What Is Enterprise Linux?
Are you the kind of person who likes to be efficient no matter where you are and what you are doing? Do you want to get things done on time, on time, every time? If so, then Enterprise Linux is for you. It's a version of Linux OS explicitly designed for commercial and enterprise IT environments. Created under several Linux distributions, versions are available for x86, x86-64, Itanium and other server computing architectures. Enterprise Linux is made for people who want to get things done quickly and efficiently, whether that's by being able to install many packages at once or running different applications on the same server without having to worry about compatibility issues between them. For an enterprise to select a particular Linux distribution, the vendor's reputation, experience supporting the chosen distribution, and features offered are all important considerations. Enterprise distributions are often recommended for large-scale operations that require stability and proven reliability. Enterprise distributions often receive new software and security updates much slower than smaller community-driven distributions, so they may not be the best option for businesses requiring cutting-edge software or constantly updating their technology. Enterprise distributions are often much heavier than community-driven distributions and may not be suitable for older machines. You know what they say: Fortune favors the bold. If you're brave enough to go with Linux, you could go with Enterprise Linux. It's not that standard Linux is terrible. It could be better at handling the intense demands of high-end business computing IT environments. Enterprise Linux comes in: its advanced features are designed to work in even the most demanding environments. It's still open source, even for commercial use! So if you want a Linux that can handle your workload and then some, Enterprise Linux is the way to go.
