What Is Bropia Worm?
Do you know about this new virus? No, that is ok. We will start with a small story. You start a new job, and your first day is lovely. Then you get that text from a friend who asks if you've heard of the Bropia worm. You don't know what they're talking about, but you know it sounds terrible, so you ask your friend what it is, and they say something like this: "The Bropia worm is a type of malware that spreads through instant messaging (IM) by sending infected attachments to IM users. This worm uses MSN Instant Messenger to send infected files and spreads by sending these out through the IM contact list." Suddenly, your day is ruined! A Bropia worm is a malicious computer program that can replicate and spread to other computers via the Internet. It is a type of worm that mainly targets Microsoft Windows operating systems. Symptoms of a Bropia worm infection may include sluggish computer performance, unexpected shutdowns, and error messages. To prevent a Bropia worm infection, you should exercise caution when clicking links or downloading files from unverified sources. The Bropia worm is a tough cookie. It can replicate itself and hide in the Windows System folder with various file names, including winhost.exe, updates.exe or lexplore.exe. If that needs to be better, it modifies the registry's RUN section to load automatically. It leaves a Spybot worm variant in the infected machine without you knowing! The Bropia worm is a new variant of the Andromeda virus discovered in May. The worm is thought to have been created by a Chinese hacker who calls himself "Bropia" and has been known to target political dissidents. Bropia, a worm that targets instant messaging, has been unleashed on the world. It's a vicious little beast, so be careful!
