What Is Big Data Architecture?
It's more than just a matter of how much data you have. It's how you organize it and how you make it accessible. Big Data Architecture is the logical and physical layout/structure of how big data is stored, accessed and managed within a big data or IT environment. It describes the tools, technologies, architectures and systems used to store, process and analyze data from multiple sources, including unstructured data such as text and image files. Big Data Architecture is something that you should probably have in place before you start with the big data. Robust data architecture is substantial with the growth of data-driven businesses. The large volume of data, variety of data sources, and real-time access to data have transformed data from a strategic asset to a critical necessity for businesses. Data architecture focuses on how information is stored and managed. It also addresses how data is integrated with business processes and other data to enable actionable insight. Data architecture must be scalable, flexible, and secure. Data architecture must also be non-proprietary. It can also be referred to as a data architecture or data blueprint. Big Data Architecture will typically show how data flows through the system and be very detailed on the technical aspects of how the solution works. It will include hardware and software requirements, connection details, data flow, and system details. Data architecture is often required when a company is looking to hire a vendor to provide Big Data solutions or when it is building its own Big Data solution and needs to detail the system to be made. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a data architecture is worth a million. Big Data Architectureis the framework for collecting, storing, and analyzing your data. It helps you understand how all of the pieces fit together so that you can get the most out of your big data solution. Prominent data architects are responsible for creating the systems that will make up your significant data architecture. The architect needs to understand what decisions need to be made when designing these systems—from choosing which database to use to decide whether you want to use a Hadoop cluster to quickly process large amounts of data!
