What Is System Testing?
System testing is a process in the software testing cycle where a total and integrated application /system is tested. It's also sometimes called "integration testing." In system testing, you look for problems when multiple parts of your application or system work together. You can't test individual components of your application separately because they're all designed to work together, making them so powerful! System testing is necessary to confirm that the final product has been developed per the agreed-upon specifications, works as expected and can be released to users. The main objective of system testing is to check that the system as a whole meets the business and technical requirements. It also helps identify and correct any issues with the application and its dependencies before it is released to users. System testing is the last stage of testing, where the complete system is put to the test. As this is the final testing stage, we must ensure the system is thoroughly tested, as we cannot redo the system testing. System testing should be as comprehensive as possible to ensure the system is tested for all possible scenarios, resulting in correct responses for all cases. It can only be achieved if the system testing is closely coordinated with the business team. During the system testing, the business team will test the system and its various features from their end to ensure that the new system is providing the correct data in response to their request. System testing is the last step before putting your software into the world. It's also the most crucial step when you see how well things work in the real world. In this phase, testers are asked to perform specific tasks using the software and give feedback on how well it performs those tasks. It is where we ensure that everything works as expected and find out if it doesn't.
