You are simply going through someone else's photo album, looking at pictures of their vacations, their pets, and perhaps even some embarrassing flashback shots from when they were in high school. The issue is we're all a little curious about other people's lives, and social media makes it easy to peek into someone we know (or maybe know). It's merely a technique to fulfill your curiosity without really having to interact with the person you're curious about. There are, of course, some guidelines to follow when it comes to picture lurking. It would be best to exercise extreme caution to avoid inadvertently liking or commenting on a photo. This is a sign that you have been skulking around, which might put others in an unpleasant position. Remember that photo lurking might be a time sink for you since this is another important consideration. You've wasted an hour browsing through someone's images. As a result, it is essential to establish certain limits and resist the urge to permit it to take over your life. Photo lurking is innocent and addictive.
