What Is Line Load Control?
Line load control is like the little guy standing before a crowded club door and telling you you can't come in because they're at capacity. He's not being a jerk; he's just being responsible! The club owners want to keep everyone who paid to get in and have fun. They want to make sure that it's safe for those already inside. Line load control does the same for telephone networks: it helps ensure all the lines are working correctly correctlyrarily, denying service in some or all non-essential lines so they don't get overloaded. It's a network-provided service feature that selectively restricts call origination based on criteria that determine their priority: if there are too many calls coming from one area or one type of customer, then line load control will temporarily deny service from those locations or types of customers so that other people can get through. This ensures the quality of service required by a switching center (like making sure they can handle calls from 9-1-1). Line load control is like a big brother protecting you from friends who always want to hang out with you. You know what those people constantly bugging you: "Hey, wanna go get coffee?" "Wanna work on that project together?" "Wanna go to dinner?" Then there's the big brother: line load control. Line load control is like that friend who says, "Hey, I think it's better if we don't do this right now," or "I think it would be more fun if we didn't do this." line load control doesn't just say no to you when you ask to do something it also says no for you when someone else asks for something from you. It's like having a wingman who can step in and say, "No, man, she's busy."
