What Is Granular Configuration Automation?
You know the feeling of being in a room full of people and having to ask, "Who's got the Wi-Fi password?" You get that same feeling every time you have to deal with IT. You want to be able to access all of your data and applications from anywhere, but it feels like you're never sure if the systems are fully set up or if they'll work when you try them out. That's why we created Granular Configuration Automation (GCA). Granular Configuration Automation gives you visibility into your entire IT environment at a granular level. Since the organization is cloud-based, there are no hardware requirements for installation; therefore, you are aware of what is located where and how it is set up. You can configure GCA on any electronic gadget so long as it has an active Internet connection. IT environments are becoming increasingly complex, with the number of devices, instances and components proliferating. More importantly, the rate at which new devices are being introduced is increasing exponentially. As a result, IT professionals must manage many configurations to keep these environments up and running. However, manual configuration management is time-consuming and error-prone – not only is it difficult to track changes made by different people throughout an organization, but there are also many ways to configure each device. Furthermore, if something goes wrong during a change-over, it can take hours or even days to resolve because so many variables are involved. Granular configuration automation (GCA) has been created to address this problem by providing visibility into every aspect of an organization's IT environment configuration at the most granular level possible. GCA empowers IT, staff with complete and in-depth knowledge of the arrangements associated with each device instance or component within their environment so that changes can be made quickly and efficiently – with minimal effort!
