What Is Fast User Switching?

Fast user switching is a great way to save time. Instead of logging out of your user account, you can now switch between users without logging them off. If you leave your computer unattended but don't want somebody else to get access to your files and information, you won't have to worry about it. Fast user switching also allows multiple users to view the same application simultaneously, significantly improving collaboration among teammates or between roommates or family members who might need access to the same programs on their shared computer. To enable fast user switching, click the Power button on the Windows taskbar and select "Change settings". Select "Advanced settings" and click on "Improve fast user switching".nside of this menu, click on the "shortcuts" tab, and you'll be able to see the "make this taskbar button open - " drop-down menu. You can select which account you'd like to make the default one for fast switching. This will make the selected account open whenever you click on the taskbar shortcut in the future. You can also change the order in these accounts displayed by clicking on the "order" drop-down menu. Once you're done, click "ok" to save your changes. Select the "Navigation" tab and ensure that "Include this option in the menu" is checked. Finally, click on "OK". You'll see a new option to switch between accounts quickly when you click the power button. This is especially helpful for people who work with remote teams, as it lets them jump between tasks without losing their connection. By allowing you to switch between active applications, fast user switching enables you to hop between jobs without losing connection. You can open a spreadsheet on your desktop without dropping your connection and hop over to your email program. Fast user switching lets people access the computer without waiting for other users to log out. It eliminates delays so that you can switch between these accounts seamlessly.
