What Is Error Message?

The existence of error messages is unavoidable in modern society. You most likely come into contact with them daily, regardless of whether or not you use computers. Error messages may be found anywhere, from the one that displays on your screen when the ink in your printer runs out to the one that appears when you try to add more than ten items to your shopping basket. Error messages are a common occurrence. We've all come across them, and I'm willing to bet that most of us have even been guilty of mindlessly clicking "OK" when we should have been pausing to consider the repercussions of our actions. But have you ever given any thought to the question of why they are there? Why do we receive so many cautions and alerts during a typical day? Error messages serve a fundamental purpose, which is to keep us safe. Error messages notify us when something unexpected happens so we can immediately address the problem before it causes severe difficulties for us or other people in our immediate environment. They let us know when something requires our attention so that we may take care of it immediately rather than wait until later when things can get ugly if we do nothing about it. The user experience is significantly improved by providing precise and concise error messages. They explain to users what went wrong, how to fix it, and why anything went wrong. Poorly designed error messages can hurt both the quality of your product and the pleasure of the people who use it. A good error message is straightforward and to the point, providing a clear description of the issue and a list of the actions the user should take to resolve it (including links for further support). Users will feel helpless and upset if an error message is poorly written, which is never a nice thing to happen.
