This process helps define and diligently use that data. Data flow models. They're not just a fancy way of saying "diagram". They're also a fancy way of saying "picture." if you think about it, that's basically what a data flow model is: a picture or it's a data flow model: a series of pictures showing how data moves through an information system. Not just any information system. It's the one you're working on right now! A data flow model is a diagram that shows how data flows through a system. Data flow models visualize the flow of information by describing the procedures for collecting, storing, and reporting data. It shows you where all your data is going and how it's getting there. It has arrows, lines, boxes, and branches, like our roads.
