What Is Clan?
In massively multiplayer online games, a "clan" is a community of players who have banded together to participate. A clan is a group of people with a history of living and working together because they share common values and objectives. Depending on their structure and leadership, clans can either be recognized by society or remain informally organized. The idea of a clan is often built into the gameplay of some games. It means that players can organize themselves into legitimate tribes with the help of the game's in-built tools and features. Games like World of Warcraft and Destiny allow players to form formal guilds with their communication channels, calendars, and other features for running the guild. However, players can also create clans in an unofficial capacity if they agree among themselves to do so. Unofficial clans are free to be less formal and strict than recognized ones. On the contrary, they continue to carry out their original purpose of serving a shared goal through the concerted efforts of their members. Joining a clan may necessitate a certain amount of playtime or completing specific duties before a player is accepted. These standards are in place to ensure new members are dedicated to the clan's mission and have the necessary skills to help achieve its objectives. It's not uncommon for tribes to have rules and regulations that members must abide by to remain a part of the group. Collectives in massively multiplayer online games are typically called guilds. Guilds in massively multiplayer online role-playing games are typically more structured and official than clans in other games. It is because many features in MMORPGs necessitate cooperation and collaboration among players to accomplish goals. Guilds allow players to connect with others who share similar interests and play styles, and many have exclusive membership criteria based on things like character class or level. To sum up, the idea of a clan or guild in online gaming is fundamental to the existence of the online gaming community. Through it, participants can form bonds, collaborate on projects, and learn from one another. A good and enjoyable gaming experience is only possible to achieve with the presence of clans and guilds, both formal and unofficial.
