What Is Cell?

A cell is a blank canvas. A place to paint and direct your organizational goals and objectives to be achieved in a timely and qualitative manner. It is just the right thing that your boss will love and adore to the fullest as it provides a clear picture of what is going on and how much work is pending. It's a space where you can paint your spreadsheet in whatever colors you'd like. There are plenty of options. You can fill it with numbers and formulas or some pictures. You can even use it to write poems about how much you love the smell of freshly printed paper. Cells are the foundation of any successful data project as a spreadsheet's most basic building blocks. A cell's individuality is defined by the cell number and the letter of the alphabet at their intersection. For example, if you were to draw an imaginary line from cell A1 to cell B2, that would be considered a single cell. If you were to connect it to another imaginary line connecting C1 with D2, that would be regarded as another single cell. Cells can support various data types, from numeric (integers) to alphanumeric (strings) and formulas. Cells support absolute cell referencing, which allows them to be invoked individually using their cell column name and row number appended with a "$" sign. Fundamental cell referencing is helpful when trying to build dynamic formulas that are not dependent on the current value of the active cell. What makes a cell great is that it doesn't have to stay a single color for long. You can change its color whenever you want! If more excitement is needed for one day, borders and backgrounds are available for each. So go ahead and fill up all those cells with as many different colors as your heart desires!
