Tesla Unveils Cheaper Cybertruck Model In US, Cuts Cyberbeast Price

Overall Rating

Tesla has launched a lower-priced all-wheel-drive version of its Cybertruck in the United States and reduced the price of its premium Cyberbeast trim, according to Reuters, as the electric vehicle maker adjusts pricing amid moderating demand in the EV market.

TL;DR

  • Tesla introduced a cheaper all-wheel-drive Cybertruck in the US.
  • The company reduced the base price of its Cyberbeast trim.
  • Pricing updates were reflected on Tesla’s website.
  • The move comes as US EV demand shows signs of slowing.

Tesla Expands Cybertruck Lineup With Lower-Priced AWD Variant

Tesla has added a more affordable all-wheel-drive Cybertruck configuration to its US lineup, Reuters reported, marking a notable adjustment to the electric pickup’s pricing structure.

The newly introduced variant carries a lower starting price than previously available trims and was listed on Tesla’s official website at the time of reporting. The move broadens the Cybertruck offering beyond its earlier, higher-priced versions.

The Cybertruck began deliveries after years of anticipation and represents Tesla’s entry into the highly competitive US pickup truck segment. Pickup trucks remain one of the most strategically important categories in the American automotive market.

Tesla Cuts Price Of Premium Cyberbeast Trim

In addition to introducing a cheaper variant, Tesla reduced the base price of the Cyberbeast trim, the highest-performance version within the Cybertruck lineup.

Reuters reported that the revised pricing was reflected directly on Tesla’s website. The Cyberbeast has been positioned as the premium offering in the Cybertruck range.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment regarding the pricing adjustments or the strategy behind them.

Pricing Strategy Amid Softer EV Demand

The changes come at a time when electric vehicle demand in the United States has shown signs of cooling compared with the rapid expansion seen in earlier years.

Automakers across the EV sector have been reassessing pricing strategies amid elevated borrowing costs and intensifying competition. Several manufacturers have introduced incentives or price adjustments to maintain sales momentum.

Tesla has frequently updated pricing across its lineup in recent years, including in the United States and China. The company has used price changes as a lever to stimulate demand and manage inventory levels in a shifting macroeconomic environment.

The Cybertruck pricing revisions reflect this broader pattern of dynamic adjustments as Tesla navigates a more competitive EV landscape.

Cybertruck’s Role In Tesla’s Product Portfolio

The Cybertruck is one of Tesla’s most closely watched product launches. First unveiled in 2019, the angular stainless-steel pickup generated significant attention and accumulated a large number of reservations over the years.

Its commercial rollout marked Tesla’s expansion beyond sedans and SUVs into the pickup segment, where both traditional automakers and new EV entrants are investing heavily.

By introducing a lower-priced all-wheel-drive variant while reducing the price of its top-tier Cyberbeast trim, Tesla is recalibrating its Cybertruck positioning within a market that is increasingly sensitive to pricing and competition.
