What Is Push Technology?
Push technology is the opposite of pull technology. You know what pull technology is, right? It's when you go to the grocery store, buy a bunch of stuff, and then put it in your cart so you can take it home. That pulls technology! On the other hand, push technology is when someone comes up to you at a bar and says, "Hey, look at me; I'm cool and interesting. " Then they try to push their way into your life by talking about themselves for hours until you finally give up and go home with them. It's like this person trying to push their way into your life by being pushy and wanting to be with you all the time even though they don't know anything. Who you are as a person, what you like, or if there's even any chemistry between the two of you, it's just pure blind persistence until one day they finally get it right. That's push technology! Push technology is a big, wrong way to get the news, weather, and other favorite things in front of you. Imagine this: You're sitting at work and want to know what is happening worldwide. But the internet is down, so you can't check your phone for updates. What do you do? If push technology were a thing (and it is! ), you'd have to open a browser window on your computer and look at it. Push technology would send all the information to that browser window as soon as it was updated. Then all of a sudden, you'd be sitting at work knowing everything there was to know about what's happening in the world! Sounds pretty good, right? But push technology isn't just limited to keeping up with current affairs. It can also help out with things like weather forecasts and sports scores. The possibilities are endless!
