What Is Protocol Stack?
A protocol stack is a group of protocols that run concurrently, implementing the network protocol suite. The protocol stack is like a very tall layer cake. It's composed of many layers, each serving a distinct purpose. With the cake, the bottom layer is usually frosting or some other sweet substance, while the top layer is usually cake or some other delicious thing. In the same way, each layer in the protocol stack has its function; layer 1: The physical Layer, handles voltage levels and signal strength. Layer 2: Data Link Layer This layer handles frames and addresses; layer 3, Network Layer, deals with routing traffic across networks. Layer 4 Transport Layer manages connections between hosts on different networks by transmitting data reliably from one host to another over an unreliable transmission medium. There are satellite or wireless network links where packets may be lost due to noise or other problems from using radio waves for communication. The purposes between different computers located at various places worldwide within seconds without any interruption whatsoever even if they are found far away from each other (outside their borders), which would otherwise cause related problems. Two types of protocols can be used to create a stack. The first is a family of protocols, a set of associated protocols that work together. The second type is an individual protocol, which operates independently but may also be part of a giant stack. To create your stack, you must first decide what kind of protocol family you wish to use. To make your protocol, you must research and figure out how your protocol will work. If you're looking for a pre-made protocol family, several options are available from companies, including Google and Facebook. However, if you'd rather not spend any money, then there are also free options available such as OpenVPN or TOR, which both provide excellent connectivity solutions!
