What Is Granularity?
Granularity is the key to success! You might not have heard the word "granularity" before, but if you've ever been in a room full of computers and their programmers, then you've heard about it. Granularity refers to a ratio of computation to communication – and, within the classical sense, to breaking down significant holistic obligations into more minor, extra finely delegated responsibilities. Granularity can tell improvement practices and direct layout for technology by bringing interest to how computing obligations paint withinside the context of a whole project. For example, imagine you're trying to write an essay on Shakespeare's Hamlet. You could break up your work into smaller pieces like "Find out what happens in act two" or "Find out what happens in act four." Or you could break it down even further into individual scenes—they're broken down into acts because they're easier for audiences to understand when they're presented together. This same concept applies to computer science in general: everything done on a computer involves some granularity—it's just a matter of how small you want each chunk of work to be broken down. The more granular your code, the faster it will run. It is simple: The code is smaller and easier to work with. Minor code takes less time to load into memory and execute. Granular legend also has fewer dependencies, meaning it doesn't need as much support from other pieces of your program to work correctly. It can stand on its own two feet—or one foot and one toe—and do its job without relying on the rest of the program for help. It makes it easier for programmers to debug their programs and identify where bugs are coming from when something goes wrong with one part of their program but not another.
