What Is Closed-Loop Control System?
A feedback control system, often known as a closed-loop control system, is the most powerful sort of control system that is currently available. It is said to as the "ultimate boss" of the system. It's like having a superhero to maintain order. Take a ping pong match. The paddle controls the variable, while the ball regulates it. The ball is struck by the paddle, which sends it careening off in all different directions; however, the control system is continuously monitoring where the ball travels and adjusts the paddle in reaction to bring the ball back to where it was supposed to be. The feedback part of a system that works in a closed loop looks like this. The cycle of measuring, contrasting, and making modifications is one that never comes to an end. The system is constantly measuring the process variable, which is the item that is being controlled, comparing it to the setpoint, which is the intended value and then altering the control variable, which is the thing that is changing the process, in order to bring the process variable back to the set point. But wait, there's so much more to it than that! In addition, a closed-loop control system includes something called a controller as one of its components. The controller performs a role that is analogous to that of the system's brain; it decides how much the control variable ought to be altered depending on the error, which may be defined as the difference in value between the process variable and the setpoint. In addition, just like a superhero, closed-loop control systems have the ability to juggle many duties at the same time. Because it can manage a large number of inputs in addition to producing a large number of outputs, it is a piece of equipment that is both versatile and powerful.
