Made by Google 2026, Google’s latest hardware event delivered more than another yearly smartphone refresh.

Alongside the Pixel 11 lineup, the company unveiled its first finder tag, a lighter and more durable foldable, a health-focused Pixel Watch 5, deeper Gemini integrations, upgraded earbuds, and a wider Pixelsnap accessory lineup.

Some of the most notable changes are also less obvious, including a nearly bumpless Pixel 11 camera bar, sign-to-text translation on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and a Pixel Watch feature designed to detect severe breathing emergencies.

The Pixel 11 Series Brings Smarter Cameras, Faster Charging And More Proactive Gemini Help

Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL form Google’s 11th-generation smartphone lineup, with all three powered by the new Tensor G6 chip and designed to run the latest Gemini Nano model.

The hardware changes begin with the design. Pixel 11’s camera bar is 40% thinner, making the device virtually bumpless when used with a Made by Google case and helping it sit flat without wobbling. It also gets an Actua display, a satin metal frame, and a polished glass back, with Pistachio, Hibiscus, Frost, and Obsidian color options.

Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL go further with Google’s brightest Super Actua displays yet, reaching up to 3,600 nits. A new anti-scratch coating offers more than twice the scratch resistance of the previous generation, while the phones retain the company’s drop-resistant design.

Google is also pushing harder on charging. All three models start at 256GB of storage and support Pixelsnap, while Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro gain Qi 2.2 charging at up to 25W. Pixel 11 Pro XL can deliver up to 15 hours of battery life from a 15-minute wired charge.

Camera improvements are another major part of the upgrade. Pixel 11 gets a new 48MP main sensor with 56% greater light sensitivity, while its 5x telephoto camera can reach 30x Super Zoom with help from Tensor G6.

The Pro models also introduce HiLight, which uses colored LEDs around the camera flash to provide information while the phone is face down. The lights can indicate whether Gemini is listening, thinking, or responding, and users can assign custom colors to incoming calls from specific contacts.

The Pixel 11 starts at $899, Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099, and Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,299. All three are available for preorder and reach shelves on August 20.
 

 

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold Brings A Lighter Body, Tougher Displays And Dual-Screen Translation

Google’s newest foldable focuses heavily on solving two longstanding foldable concerns: weight and durability.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold is almost 10% lighter and roughly 1mm thinner than Pixel 10 Pro Fold, while retaining an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Google also redesigned several structural elements, including a new gearless hinge, ceramic cover glass for the outer display, and a glass-fiber composite rear cover.

Together, the changes make Pixel 11 Pro Fold three times more durable than last year’s device, according to Google. The new hinge also uses a larger bend radius, paired with a thicker layer of glass on the inner screen, to improve crease performance.

Both displays are 20% brighter and now reach 3,600 nits. Like the Pro smartphones, the foldable also gets HiLight around its camera flash for glanceable Gemini status information and color-coded incoming call alerts.

Inside, Tensor G6 is paired with 16GB of RAM and powers several features built specifically around the dual-screen design. One of the most distinctive is sign-to-text support, developed in partnership with the Deaf community.

Users can sign in American Sign Language toward the front camera while translations appear on the outer screen. The hands-free foldable format supports both one-handed and two-handed signing.

Multitasking also gets easier through optimized bubbles that can turn apps into quickly accessible floating elements when the device is unfolded. Existing Fold features such as Drag and Drop, Split Screen, Instant View, and Made You Look remain available.

The camera system adds a new 48MP main camera and telephoto shooting at up to 30x Super Zoom, along with Pixel 11 features such as Magic Capture and Camera Looks.

Battery life exceeds 24 hours, while 30W wired charging can replenish 50% of the battery in around 30 minutes. Qi2.2 wireless charging reaches up to 25W, which is 20% faster than the previous-generation Fold.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold is available for preorder now and reaches shelves on August 20 in Obsidian and Olive.
 

 

Pixel Tag Helps Users Find Keys, Wallets And Luggage Through More Than One Billion Android Devices

Google is entering the tracker market with Pixel Tag, its first finder tag designed to locate keys, wallets, luggage, and other valuables through the Find Hub network.

The small stainless-steel tracker is IP67 water and dust resistant and includes a speaker that can play a sound when users are searching nearby. It also works in reverse, allowing users to press its button to ring a misplaced phone.

Pixel Tag supports Ultra-Wideband and Bluetooth Channel Sounding for precision finding, providing visual distance and directional cues when an item is nearby. For objects farther away, Find Hub can use Google’s crowdsourced network of more than one billion Android devices to help determine their location.

Google has also included Left Behind alerts, which can proactively notify users when they move away from an item. Unknown tracker alerts are built into Android as well, informing users if an unfamiliar tag appears to be traveling with them.

Setup uses Fast Pair with Android 9 or newer, while a Pixel Tag can be shared with as many as 10 people. Users can also locate it through Pixel Watch or ask Gemini through Pixel Buds to make the tag ring.

Battery life is rated at up to one year and the battery can be replaced by the user.

Pixel Tag will cost $29 individually or $99 for a four-pack when it reaches shelves on November 11.
 

 

Pixel Watch 5 Brings Faster Gemini Assistance And New Health Guardian Features

Pixel Watch 5 expands Google’s smartwatch ambitions beyond notifications and fitness tracking by placing more Gemini assistance and health monitoring directly on the wrist.

At a Glance can surface contextual information such as boarding passes when users arrive at an airport or remaining stops during a commute. Raise to Talk has also been upgraded, allowing Gemini to launch workouts, set timers, or retrieve details such as restaurant reservations from Gmail.

Core actions can run on-device with low latency even while offline. Gemini Intelligence Proactive Suggestions can also identify relevant information, such as an event in Calendar, and turn it into a one-tap action that can be confirmed using a double-pinch gesture.

Performance is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated processor and a dual-chip architecture. Google says Pixel Watch 5 has 50% more RAM, a 12% CPU boost, and overall performance that is 20% faster.

Fitness upgrades include Google’s most accurate GPS route tracking yet, with twice the accuracy of earlier generations in difficult environments. An upcoming Strength Training experience will guide users through sets and rest periods while allowing them to record weights and repetitions directly from the watch.

Sleep tracking gets 15% more accurate sleep-stage detection, bedtime automations, and Smart Wake, which monitors movement and heart rate during the 30 minutes before an alarm to identify a lighter stage of sleep.

More significantly, Health Guardian introduces breathing emergency detection. Using sensors and on-device AI, the watch can monitor for severe, persistent drops in oxygen saturation and automatically contact emergency services with the wearer’s location if they are unresponsive. The feature will launch first in Europe.

Pixel Watch 5 starts at $399 for the 41mm model and $429 for the 45mm version. Preorders begin August 12, with retail availability from August 20.

Google is also using Tensor G6 and Gemini to reduce the number of manual steps required across Pixel phones.

Rambler converts natural speech, including filler words such as “um” and “ah,” into cleaner text, while Gboard gains sign-to-text support and enhanced writing tools.

Magic Capture can analyze around 400 frames to produce well-timed 12MP images, while Camera Looks adds customizable visual styles. Pixel 11 Pro models also capture Night Sight photos up to 4.5 times faster.

Creator Suite adds a teleprompter, video project folders, Storyboard editing, and social media framing tools, while Circle to Search now works directly from the camera viewfinder. Live Translate can also dub video and audio into a preferred language using on-device generative AI.
 

Gemini Connects More Apps So Users Can Book, Create And Plan From One Place

Gemini is expanding its connected-app ecosystem across productivity, travel, entertainment, music, home services, and healthcare.

Upcoming integrations include Granola, Otter.ai, Wix, Fever, GetYourGuide, Localiza, OpenTable in the UK, Ticketmaster, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Angi, Thumbtack, and Zocdoc.

The connections will let users perform tasks ranging from summarizing meetings and editing websites to reserving restaurants, finding event tickets, streaming music, hiring home professionals, and booking doctor appointments without leaving Gemini.
 

Pixel Buds Pro 2 And Pixel Buds 2a Upgrades Bring Smarter Audio And Live Translation

Pixel Buds are getting more automated audio controls, including Dynamic ANC on Pixel Buds Pro 2, which adjusts noise cancellation as the earbud seal changes.

Gemini can also change audio settings through voice commands, while Pixel Watch sleep detection can automatically pause music, disable touch controls, and silence notifications after users fall asleep.

Live Translate now supports more than 70 languages in near real time. Pixel Buds Pro 2 in Olive can be ordered from August 12, while the software upgrades begin rolling out in September.

Google is completing the lineup with accessories, which includes new Pixelsnap cases and Pixelsnap Ring Stand colors.

For the first time, Pixel cases will be available in clear versions alongside colors matched to the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

The cases retain Pixelsnap compatibility for magnetic accessories, while the Pixelsnap Ring Stand adds Canyon, Olive, and Obsidian finishes.
