Elon Musk's Starbase City To Establish Its Own Police Department

Elon Musk’s SpaceX, known for its ambitious space exploration projects, is taking a significant step in fortifying the security of its company town, Starbase, located in South Texas.

Described as the "Gateway to Mars", Starbase is "located on the southern tip of Texas," and is "the newest city in the Rio Grande Valley," as per the company's website.

Initally formed in the late 1960s, the town of Starbase was formally incorporated on May 20, 2025. Prior to this, SpaceX purchased many properties in the village from 2018. In March 2021, Musk announced plans to incorporate a new city in the area.
