Disney & TikTok Bring Fan-Created Videos To Disney+ In First-Of-Its-Kind Deal
Updated on Wed, Aug 5, 2026
Disney is putting fan-made TikTok videos inside Disney+, making the streaming service the first outside platform to carry TikTok content.
The US pilot will place opt-in creator videos in the Verts tab while opening Disney’s vast entertainment library to participating creators.
TL;DR
- Disney+ will host curated, opt-in TikTok creator videos through its Verts tab, beginning with a US pilot.
- Creators will receive access to assets from hundreds of Disney movies and series, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and FX.
- A joint Creator Ambassador Program will offer rewards, visibility, exclusive events, and career development, with more markets expected to follow.
Disney+ Will Stream TikTok Creator Videos Through Its Verts Tab
The first-of-its-kind agreement will bring a curated collection of Disney-focused TikTok videos directly to Disney+. Participating creators who opt in will have their short-form videos available on both TikTok and the Verts section of Disney+.
The videos will feature characters, scenes, and stories from Disney brands including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, FX, and more. Disney plans to refresh the selection regularly, giving subscribers a steady stream of content connected to current fan conversations.
The pilot will begin in the US in the coming months, with plans to expand into other markets. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
TikTok Creators Will Gain Access To Hundreds Of Disney Movies And Shows
The deal goes beyond displaying existing TikTok videos on Disney+. TikTok will also give participating creators access to approved assets connected to hundreds of films and series from Disney’s library.
This will allow creators to build short-form videos around recognizable scenes, characters, and moments while keeping fan creativity at the center of the collaboration.
“The best storytellers are fans first,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company. “This collaboration creates a new bridge between the stories we tell and the creativity they inspire, giving creators a bigger stage to share what they’ve made, and audiences more to discover on Disney+ every day.”
Disney And TikTok Launch A Creator Ambassador Program
Disney and TikTok are also creating the jointly operated Disney Creator Ambassador Program to build longer-term relationships with emerging creative talent.
The tiered program will give selected creators access to special rewards, increased visibility, exclusive events, and career development opportunities. Both companies said the initiative reflects their shared belief that creative talent can emerge from anywhere.
“Together with Disney, we’re bringing the authentic creator expression of the TikTok community to Disney+, inviting audiences to experience the shared creativity that makes fandom so powerful,” said Dawn Yang, Global Head of Entertainment at TikTok.

TikTok Entertainment Discovery Could Bring More Viewers To Disney+
The partnership arrives as short-form video becomes a larger part of how audiences discover movies and television shows. Peacock and Paramount+ have introduced vertical series, while Netflix offers Clips, its collection of short, TikTok-style videos.
TikTok’s internal data shows that users shared an average of 6.5 million film and television-related posts every day last year. Nearly half of surveyed viewers also said they watched a movie or television show after discovering related entertainment content on TikTok.
For Disney, bringing this activity into Disney+ could turn fan-created videos into another content-discovery channel. For TikTok, the agreement gives creators authorized access to major entertainment franchises and a new stage beyond the social platform itself.
The US pilot will test whether that exchange can convert daily fan conversations into deeper and more frequent Disney+ engagement.
