Powered by the latest A19 chip and equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera, the device blends flagship-grade capabilities with long-term value.
The reveal came as part of Apple's event week, with the main day set for March 4 from 9 a.m. Eastern Time onwards.
This year's event breaks from its traditional keynote-style livestream. Instead of hosting a single broadcast event, the company is organizing what it calls a “special Apple Experience” for invited media across New York, London, and Shanghai.
Meanwhile, the general public can follow along digitally as Apple publishes announcements throughout the day via its Newsroom and official social media channels.

iPhone 17e's A19 Chip And iOS 26
At the core of the iPhone 17e is Apple’s new A19 chip, built on advanced 3-nanometer technology. The 6-core CPU is up to 2x faster than iPhone 11, handling everyday tasks as well as advanced Apple Intelligence features.
A 4-core GPU with Neural Accelerators enables console-level gaming and hardware-accelerated ray tracing, while the upgraded 16-core Neural Engine is optimized for large generative models.
Running on iOS 26, the device introduces a new Liquid Glass design and Apple Intelligence features such as Live Translation across Messages, FaceTime, and Phone. Call Screening, Hold Assist, and message filtering for unknown senders are also included.
Apple's In-House CIX Cellular Modem
The device also introduces C1X, Apple’s latest in-house cellular modem, which is up to 2x faster than the C1 modem in iPhone 16e and matches the speed of iPhone Air.
C1X uses 30 percent less energy than the modem in iPhone 16 Pro, contributing to exceptional all-day battery life. Fast wired charging via USB-C allows the battery to reach up to 50 percent in around 30 minutes, while MagSafe and Qi2 enable wireless charging up to 15W.
iPhone 17e's 48MP Fusion Camera
Photography is led by a 48MP Fusion camera that delivers detailed images in both 24MP default and full 48MP resolution. It integrates an optical-quality 2x Telephoto, effectively offering two cameras in one. Portrait mode benefits from an advanced image pipeline that allows users to adjust focus after capture, while HDR enhances skin tones, highlights, midtones, and shadows.
Night mode ensures sharp and vivid photos in low light conditions. On the video front, the device supports 4K Dolby Vision recording at up to 60 frames per second, along with Spatial Audio capture and wind noise reduction powered by machine learning.
iPhone 17e's 6.1-inch Diplay
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display reaches up to 1200 nits peak HDR brightness and is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which offers 3x better scratch resistance than the previous generation along with improved anti-reflection. The aerospace-grade aluminum design carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
iPhone 17e's Connectivity And Satellite Connectivity
When users are outside cellular and Wi-Fi coverage, iPhone 17e supports Messages via satellite, Emergency SOS via satellite, Roadside Assistance via satellite, and Find My via satellite. Crash Detection can automatically contact emergency services in the event of a severe car accident.
