Tech Mahindra To Present Sovereign Education LLM At India AI Impact Summit 2026

Selected by the Government of India as one of 12 key organizations under the IndiaAI Mission, Tech Mahindra is contributing to the national effort to build foundational AI models that are designed for India, built in India, and deployed at scale.

A major milestone at the summit will be the operational launch of the company’s 8-billion-parameter sovereign, education-focused large language model.

Purpose-built to support Indian languages and 37+ dialects, the education LLM reflects a clear focus on inclusion, accessibility, and real-world relevance. Designed for deployment across classrooms, institutions, and communities, the model addresses long-standing challenges of language diversity and uneven access to learning.

Its emphasis on efficiency and lower total cost of ownership makes AI adoption more viable for schools and educational systems nationwide.

This work directly advances the strategic priorities of the IndiaAI Mission of strengthening sovereign AI capabilities, accelerating the Digital India vision, and enabling innovation across startups and SMEs through accessible AI foundations.
