SpaceXAI Launches Grok Bot, 24/7 AI Teammates That Work Across Apps

SpaceXAI has launched Grok Bot in early beta, introducing always-on AI teammates that get their own cloud computer, work across apps and websites, learn user workflows, and continue handling multi-step jobs even when users step away.

SpaceXAI unveiled Grok Bot on August 11, 2026, positioning the product as a way for users to hand off actual workplace tasks rather than simply ask an AI assistant for information or generated content.

“Today we’re launching Grok Bot, AI teammates you can give real work to,” the company said in its official announcement. Bots can sign into tools already used by a team, operate across apps and inboxes, and complete jobs before returning to the user when approval is needed.

Grok Bot Gets A Cloud Computer And Works Across Apps

One of Grok Bot’s main differences is that its work does not depend on keeping a user’s computer active.

SpaceXAI says Bots operate through a computer in the cloud, allowing jobs to continue when users step away. They can sign into apps, tools and websites, including services that do not provide a suitable API or Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration.

Blockchain.News similarly reported that the Bots are designed to manage multi-step processes independently, citing internal uses ranging from updating customer relationship management (CRM) systems and processing invoices to debugging software.

“There is a huge difference between 90% done and 100% done,” said Roman from SpaceXAI’s product team, emphasizing the company's focus on getting tasks completed inside the actual software where people work.

SpaceXAI says Grok Bot began as an internal prototype before spreading across its own teams. Employees have reportedly used Bots for sales outreach, marketing campaigns, office operations, bug fixes and other work.

Multiple Grok Bots Can Work Together

Grok Bot is also designed to operate as a group rather than as a single assistant.

SpaceXAI says employees can run multiple Bots simultaneously, including specialist Bots for areas such as inbox management, recruiting, expenses, engineering and operations. The Bots can message each other, share context and coordinate ownership of tasks in group conversations.

For example, the company says one Bot could act as a chief of staff while specialist Bots handle individual workstreams. Users are only pulled back into the process when a decision or approval requires human judgment.

Constellation Research highlighted this ability to run multiple Bots in parallel as one of SpaceXAI’s potential differentiators. It also reported that Grok Bot uses Cursor authentication and private modes, while its cloud environment is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Grok Bot Can Learn Workflows By Watching Users

Users do not necessarily have to construct a detailed automation workflow before handing over recurring work.

SpaceXAI says users can ask a Bot to watch while they perform a process. Grok Bot can then save those steps as a routine, incorporate corrections and run the process independently the next time it is needed.

The company also says Bots retain context from previous conversations and learn preferences over time, including when to continue working independently and when to ask the user for help.

 

According to SpaceXAI, this could eventually make Bots more proactive, allowing them to follow up on abandoned conversations, restart stalled work and pick up tasks from earlier interactions. These are company-described capabilities, and Grok Bot remains in beta, so its performance across different real-world workflows will depend on further testing.

Who Can Use Grok Bot?

Grok Bot is currently available in beta to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers on desktop and iOS.

Enterprise customers are not included in the current rollout but can join a waitlist for future access.

Constellation Research described Grok Bot as part of SpaceXAI’s growing enterprise push and noted that the underlying models being used for Grok Bot tasks have not been publicly specified.

For SpaceXAI, the launch expands Grok from primarily answering and generating content toward software capable of taking action across the tools employees already use. Whether businesses treat these Bots like actual digital coworkers will depend on how reliably they can finish those jobs without creating more oversight work for their human teammates.
