NVIDIA Launches DGX Station GB300 To Bring Data Center-Level AI To Desktops!
Updated on Wed, Mar 18, 2026
TL;DR
- NVIDIA’s DGX Station GB300 brings data center AI power to desktops.
- Early units go to Andrej Karpathy and Matt Berman.
- Supports 1 trillion-parameter models with NemoClaw for always-on AI.
This high-powered desktop system brings data center-level AI performance to your desk, letting developers run models with up to 1 trillion parameters. With 748GB of memory and speeds up to 20 petaflops, it allows researchers to test and experiment with advanced AI right from their own workspace.
The first systems have already gone to leading AI figures. Andrej Karpathy, former OpenAI researcher, received a unit in Palo Alto, and YouTuber-developer Matt Berman is using it to turn AI research into real experiments quickly. These early users show the growing need for long-running, autonomous AI agents which are systems that can plan, reason, and carry out tasks over time using local tools and data.
Along with the hardware, NVIDIA offers NemoClaw, software that makes running always-on AI assistants safe and easy. Together, the DGX Station and NemoClaw give developers complete setup to build, test, and scale autonomous AI. Work started on a DGX Station can also move to the cloud or a data center when needed.
Topics For More Insights:
This launch signals a bigger shift: powerful AI computing is no longer limited to huge data centers. Developers can now experiment with complex models right at their desks, speeding up innovation and creativity.
For hands-on experience, NVIDIA is hosting a Build-a-Claw event at GTC Park, running daily through March 19, where attendees can create and run their own always-on AI assistants.
