Meta has reported unprecedented interest in its Ray-Ban Display series within weeks of its U.S. launch. The demand has exceeded internal forecasts, resulting in months-long backlogs and a temporary suspension of shipments to other markets.
"Meta Ray-Ban Display is a first-of-its-kind product with extremely limited inventory. Since launching last fall, we’ve seen an overwhelming amount of interest, and as a result, product waitlists now extend well into 2026," said Meta's Lisa Brown Jaloza in a blog post providing the update.
"Because of this unprecedented demand and limited inventory, we’ve decided to pause our planned international expansion to the UK, France, Italy, and Canada, which was originally scheduled for early 2026. We’ll continue to focus on fulfilling orders in the US while we re-evaluate our approach to international availability."
The announcement came amid a range of new features and updates provided by Meta about its smart glasses, including Teleprompter, which offers discreet services seamlessly embedded inside its display glasses. It comes with customizable text-based cards and simple navigation with the Meta Neural Band.
Users can simply copy and paste their notes anywhere from their phone, from a notes app, Google Docs, or Meta AI.
