Lovable Raises $400 Million As Valuation More Than Doubles To $13.3 Billion
Updated on Wed, Aug 12, 2026
AI software creation startup Lovable has raised $400 million in Series C funding at a $13.3 billion valuation, more than doubling its $6.6 billion valuation from December 2025 as investors continue backing the rapidly expanding AI coding market.
TL;DR
- Lovable raised $400 million in Series C funding at a $13.3 billion valuation.
- Menlo Ventures led the round, with EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund co-leading.
- More than 60 million projects have been created on Lovable since its November 2024 launch.
- Lovable plans to expand beyond software creation and become a platform for building and running businesses.
The Stockholm-based startup said Menlo Ventures led its Series C round, with the Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT co-leading.
New investors include Balderton Capital, Carmignac, Kaszek Ventures, LTS Growth, Tencent, World Innovation Lab and Regent. Returning investors include Accel, Antler, CapitalG, DST Global, Evantic Capital, HubSpot Ventures and Salesforce Ventures.
The new valuation represents a sharp increase from December 2025, when Lovable raised $330 million in Series B funding at a $6.6 billion valuation.
That round was led by CapitalG and Menlo Ventures’ Anthology fund and included investments from NVentures, Salesforce Ventures, Databricks Ventures, Atlassian Ventures and HubSpot Ventures, among others.
Lovable Says More Than 60 Million Projects Have Been Created
Lovable allows people to create software using natural-language instructions rather than relying entirely on traditional coding.
Since launching in November 2024, users have created more than 60 million projects on Lovable, while apps built using its platform now receive more than 900 million visits every month, according to the company.
Lovable also said its software reached employees at half of the Fortune 500 within its first year. That figure has since grown to nearly two-thirds.
The company is increasingly pushing beyond prototyping and app creation. In March, Lovable expanded its platform to analyze data, generate documents, work with files and help users operate businesses.
Its platform also includes payment functionality, SEO and AI-search tools, security scanning, governance features and integrations with services including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Stripe and ElevenLabs.
Lovable Wants To Become A Platform For Running Businesses
The latest funding will support a wider ambition than simply helping people generate applications.
Lovable said it plans to make its platform capable of helping users both build and run their businesses, including through more proactive AI capabilities that understand goals, identify tasks requiring attention and increasingly perform work without waiting for individual prompts.
The company also plans deeper integrations across sales, operations and marketing workflows, while continuing to invest in security, reliability, permissions and governance.
Lovable said nearly eight in ten users surveyed are building a business or side project they hope to monetize, while more than one-third of that group is already generating revenue. These figures come from the company’s own user survey data.
The expansion comes as AI coding platforms attract substantial investor interest. The Wall Street Journal reported that Lovable’s latest funding places it among Europe’s most valuable startups, as companies compete to make software development accessible through everyday language rather than conventional programming.

What Did Lovable’s Investors Say?
Menlo Ventures Partner Matt Murphy said Lovable was created for people who previously had ideas and expertise but were limited by technical barriers.
“Lovable was built for the billions of people with the creativity and knowledge to make something,” Murphy said.
Victor Englesson, Partner at EQT and Co-Head of the Scaleup Europe Fund, called Lovable one of the fastest-growing AI companies the firm had seen and said its growth demonstrated Europe’s ability to produce ambitious technology founders.
Lovable Plans To Grow To Around 450 Employees
The company will also use the fresh capital to expand its workforce and infrastructure.
Lovable said it plans to grow to roughly 450 employees during 2026, with hiring concentrated in machine learning, product, infrastructure and security.
Stockholm will remain its main base, while the company plans to expand its presence in London, Boston, San Francisco and New York.
With its valuation now above $13 billion less than two years after its public product launch, Lovable’s next challenge will be extending its rapid adoption from AI-assisted software creation into the wider day-to-day operations of businesses.
