Just as Google-parent Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai warned the world that no artificial intelligence (AI) company was immune from the AI bubble bursting—if it did—Google announced the launch of its newest AI model, Gemini 3.

Check out the new model’s updates in brief.

Gemini 3 is Google's most intelligent and most powerful agentic and vibe coding model yet, which comes with state-of-the-art reasoning that offers “unprecedented depth and nuance,” and can deliver richer visualizations and deeper interactivity across text, images, videos, and code. It combines all of Google’s capabilities.

It all begins with the launch of Gemini 3 Pro in preview, available across a suite of Google products, and the introduction of Gemini 3 Deep Think, which pushes the model’s performance even further. As per Google, Gemini 3 Pro significantly outperforms 2.5 Pro on every major AI benchmark, and the Deep Think version outperforms Gemini 3 Pro.

Google Pro 3, which comes to the Gemini app for Google Workspace customers, features a redesigned app sporting a clean, modern look that offers more tailored generative user interfaces and improved shopping experiences. It can be accessed from the drop-down menu in the Gemini app on desktop, mobile app, and mobile web.

It’s available to users across the globe, with Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers enjoying higher limits, while Google is extending its free year of Google AI Pro to U.S. college students.

Gemini 3 is also available in Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI to help businesses and developers, Gemini CLI (command line interface) to “unlock a new level of performance and productivity in the terminal,” in Android Studio for professional Android developers, and Firebase AI Logic client SDKs for mobile and web developers.

Google also introduced Gemini Agent, an experimental feature that handles multi-step tasks directly inside Gemini, connecting users to various Google apps, from calendar to mail and notes.

Gemini 3 is available in AI Mode in Search, marking the first time Google has brought Gemini in Search on day one. This will be available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.

To enhance the model’s safety, Google is providing access to safety testers before bringing it to Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Google also introduced Google Antigravity, its new agentic development platform. Antigravity steers the company’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE) towards an agent-first future with browser control capabilities, asynchronous interaction patterns, and an agent-first product form factor with the ability to autonomously plan and execute complex, end-to-end software tasks.

As per Google, Antigravity is its first product that brings four key tenets of collaborative development together: trust, autonomy, feedback, and self-improvement.

In a note from CEO Sundar Pichai, along with Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, and Koray Kavukcuoglu, CTO, Google DeepMind and Chief AI Architect, Google, the Gemini maker provided an overview of the performance and achievements of the company’s AI.

Pichai shared that Google’s AI Overviews witnesses 2 billion users every month, its Gemini app surpasses 650 million users per month, over 70% of its cloud customers use its AI, and 13 million developers have built using its generative AI (GenAI) models.

Gemini 3 is another major step on Google’s path towards AGI, as per Demis Hassabis and Koray Kavukcuoglu, who represented the larger Gemini team.

“From the first time you use it, you’ll notice that responses are more helpful, delivering high-quality information with easier-to-read formatting,” said Google.

“Gemini 3 brings significant improvements to reasoning across text, images, audio and video, and it’s now the best model in the world for multimodal understanding. Whether you're analyzing data or brainstorming creative ideas, this new model can help you tackle your most ambitious projects.”

On an umbrella landing page that consists of a series of blog posts and news releases, Google recounted the evolution of the Gemini series of models.

Do you think Google’s Gemini 3 and its combined capabilities will help it capture a stronger market share in the AI sector, or will the AI bubble burst warning CEO Pichai issues play spoilsport?
