Coming up from the Media Day and Day 1 reveals of CES 2025, the second day of the world’s most exciting consumer electronics show sported a wide range of products on display from diverse industries, with varying applications.

From home appliances to artificial intelligence-powered hardware, from new automobiles to home improvement gadgets, attendees were left astounded by the level of invention and innovation on display.

LG

While LG Corporation had already revealed some of its “Affectionate Intelligence” and advanced AI technology on Media Day, this was just a sneak peek of what the company came packed with for CES 2025. This even saw the company bag numerous awards at the event.

When it came to display devices, LG unveiled its UltraGear GX9 series, which included the 45GX990A (winner of three CES 2025 Innovation Awards, including the prestigious ‘Best of Innovation’) and the 45GX950A. Both these devices are 45-inch, 21:9 gaming monitors that feature ultra-high 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160), which is a first for OLED monitors.

The 45GX990A, better known as the LG UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor, is the world’s first 5K2K-resolution bendable (which happens with the push of a button) monitor with dual-mode.

On the other hand, the 45GX950A or the LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor comes in as the world’s first 45-inch 5K2K OLED gaming monitor with 800R curvature and DisplayPort 2.1.

However, it might be a while before these products are available to consumers, seeing as LG didn’t even have the remotes that went with the monitors ready.

LG re-debuted its 77-inch LG Signature OLED T, the world’s first transparent and true wireless 4K OLED TV, which was originally the star of the show at CES 2024. The difference is that this time it’s actually available to purchase.

Users can even switch between transparent and opaque modes at the touch of a button.

LG’s innovative entertainment options continued with its CES Innovation Award-winning PF600U, a multifunctional 3-in-1 projector that combines a Bluetooth speaker, an LED mood lamp, and a projector that can “tailor any room’s ambiance to the user’s preferences” and “transform living spaces”.

The projector features FHD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution, 300 ANSI lumens of brightness, and seamless OTT streaming via LG webOS.

LG’s PU615U model AKA CineBeam S is LG’s smallest 4K UST projector that delivers 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) resolution and 500 ANSI lumens of brightness comes with an ultra-short throw capability, which can project images ranging from 40- to 100-inches with just a few inches of wall clearance.

Talking about innovative lamps, LG also revealed its new indoor gardening appliance, which combines a lampshade with height-adjustable LED growing lights and an advanced system that encourages fast, healthy plant growth with a modern floor-standing lamp design, effortlessly stylish in any setting.

Next, LG’s Signature Over-the-Range Microwave comes with a glass front that doubles as a multifunctional 27-inch wide Full HD (1080P) touchscreen display. Users can choose to view what’s cooking in real-time using 3 cameras. Alternatively, they can use the screen to control other LG items in their house through the LG ThinQ Smart Home Dashboard. Otherwise, they can just kick back and leverage the microwave’s built-in speakers and Wi-Fi connectivity to enjoy entertaining content.

In addition to showcasing an integrated controller platform for vehicles, LG introduced the LG Mobility Experience (MX) platform, which enables a seamless connection between mobility and AI Home, boosting LG’s smart life solutions.

LG also debuted the “xboom by will.i.am” line, along with its expanded second-generation LG Signature lineup of appliances.

Lenovo

Although Lenovo already unveiled numerous products on Day 1 of CES 2025, the company had an interesting announcement when it came to handheld gaming devices.

Lenovo’s Legion Go S will give consumers the option to use SteamOS or Windows 11 on their devices. Moreover, they will also be able to choose between the cost-effective Ryzen Z2 Go processor and the monstrous Ryzen Z1 Extreme.

The Z1 Extreme version will be available in January itself, will cost $729, and will feature 32GB of RAM.

The Z2 Go version will feature 16GB of RAM, and cost $499 (with SteamOS) or $599 (with Windows 11) but will be available only in May 2025.

Ahead of this, Lenovo revealed a slew of next-gen gaming devices in the form of the Lenovo Legion series. This includes laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, gaming handhelds, VR glasses, screen protectors, gaming headsets, and even a sling bag.

Astrohaus

Headquartered in New York, USA, product design company Astrohaus has a history of producing productivity-focused keyboards for writers who take the art extremely seriously and wish to enjoy distraction-free writing sessions.

The company’s new Freewrite Wordrunner, which was on display at CES 2025, is a similar machine that comes with interesting additions. This aluminum mechanical keyboard comes with a Wordometer, which counts words, and a “sprint timer” for writing sessions.

“While gamers have an entire industry creating specialized features for them, writers have been forced to rely on general-purpose keyboards and add-on software to track their work,” says Founder and CEO Adam Leeb.

“Wordrunner transforms this relationship by making the keyboard itself an active participant in the writing process — not just a passive input device, but a true writing companion.”

Other Innovations

In its own words, the LiberLive C1 is the “first-ever stringless smart guitar” that makes learning, practicing and playing the guitar easy, enjoyable and entertaining. This foldable and portable guitar substitute can last six hours on a single charge and costs $699. It also comes with a built-in drum machine and bassline, various rhythm patterns, and other features.

SATELLAI showcased a pet tracker and smart collar, which comes with health monitoring, activity tracking, and even an AI coach that provides personalized guidance on training and pet care. However, this device’s final price is yet to be determined but will be available from February.

Home gym startup Tonal revealed its new training system—Tonal 2—which comes with upgrades from the previous version. Namely, a sleeker black and chrome design, an upgraded built-in camera, and “75% stronger” cables. The machine is available now for $4,000.

Chicago-based startup Pickpad presented its new product, also called Pickpad, which is a small square device or “smart pad” that’s powered by sensors and machine learning. It integrates with a restaurant or café's point-of-sale (POS) system and automatically inputs customer names when food and beverages ready for takeout are placed on it. Currently, the device is being piloted at a Chicago-based café.

In a bid to boost privacy, Zugu revealed its In Case of Death Case. This is an elaborate set up that includes an 11-inch iPad case, a smart ring, an app, and the user to die to effectively work. Dark, right?

In the words of the company, “The Zugu in Case of Death Case bricks your iPad when you die, so your secrets don’t outlive you. It’s designed for those of you with embarrassing search histories, scandalous camera rolls, compromising evidence, or a secret second family in Uruguay.”

Essentially, when a user dies, the case instructs the case to self-destruct by bricking the iPad to delete all its data, after the smart ring detects a lack of pulse. The entire set up costs $1,500.
