Will 'May' Put The Full Stop On The Most Heating Face-off Or It Will Fuel It?
Updated on Thu, Feb 2, 2023
Recently, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has declared a "code red" and boosted AI development, as the tech giant sees ChatGPT as a threat to its search business. As per the slide deck, "this AI project by Google will also include an image generation tool, an upgraded version of AI Test Kitchen, a TikTok-style green screen mode for YouTube and a tool to generate videos to summarize other clips. A report also states, "Pichai brought in Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin last month to meet with current leaders, review AI plans and offer input."
For those who don’t remember, in December 2022, Google Executives told employees, 'the company does not plan to launch a chatbot to compete with OpenAI's buzzy ChatGPT because it's a reputational risk.' Google's Head of AI Jeff Dean, said, 'despite having artificial intelligence technology products and capabilities, the company has to make decisions more conservatively than a small startup.'
Reports indicate that the AI tools by Google will not only help users generate content and images but also include a feature named Shopping Try-on, a wallpaper creator for Pixel phones and AI-driven tools that might help developers to create Android applications. What do you think of this update? Will it compete with ChatGPT? Let us know in the comments!
