SAP Reveals AI Innovations, Products And Partnerships At SAP Sapphire

SAP, the multinational software company that specializes in enterprise resource planning software that helps businesses manage operations and customer relations, recently conducted its annual conference, SAP Sapphire from June 3-5, 2024.

Throughout the event, the company focused on one particular technology – artificial intelligence (AI).

In all fairness, in the last few years AI has been dictating and revolutionizing how companies manage processes, operations, innovations and more, with a large part of the credit going to the powerful capabilities of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).

GenAI took the center stage at SAP Sapphire too, with the company announcing its latest innovations, products and partnerships that were powered by this revolutionary technology.

What Did SAP Announce?

 

• Through a news release published on its website, SAP summarized the important announcements made at SAP Sapphire that spoke about how the company was infusing AI into its offerings.

• The keynote speech was delivered by SAP’s CEO, Christian Klein and was attended in person by over 14,000 customers and partners as well as audiences online.

• The CEO, joined by Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer Julia White, highlighted how AI will help deliver real business benefits for different corporate functions.

• The two also mentioned how SAP has delivered on its promise to infuse GenAI into its products and brought its Joule copilot as “the new front end for SAP applications”, enabling its customers to leverage business AI.

• The company also revealed the next evolution and new capabilities in RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP.

• RISE with SAP will come with a dedicated enterprise architecture helping customers learn to manage the platform as well as processes, systems and data across the RISE with SAP life cycle.

• Ahead of this, the cloud ERP offering GROW with SAP will now include SAP Sales Cloud and Concur Expense at no additional charge.

• SAP also announced Business AI innovations and collaborations with partners with Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Meta, Microsoft, Mistral AI and NVIDIA, which will bring new features and capabilities across its enterprise solutions.

• SAP and Google Cloud will help enterprises better predict and mitigate supply-chain risks.

• SAP and Meta will leverage Meta Llama 3 to generate scripts that render highly customized analytics applications in SAP Analytics Cloud.

• SAP and AWS will transform modern cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) experiences and help enterprises drive new capabilities and efficiencies with generative artificial intelligence (AI).

• SAP and NVIDIA will advance a cross-product partnership and work together on various avenues.

• SAP and Mistral will bring new large language models from Mistral AI to the generative AI hub capability in SAP AI Core.

• Furthermore, SAP will work towards developing and advancing cloud technology that drives agility and sustainability.
