Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launches With One UI 9, 4,900mAh Battery And September 4 Availability

Samsung has expanded its Galaxy S26 lineup with the Galaxy S26 FE, bringing One UI 9, upgraded Galaxy AI features, a 50 MP main camera, Exynos 2500 processor, and a 4,900 mAh battery to its Fan Edition smartphone.
According to Samsung’s Global Newsroom announcement, the Galaxy S26 FE will become available in select markets starting September 4 in Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio color options.

Samsung in the latest Galaxy Event, says the Galaxy S26 FE is the first device in the Galaxy S26 lineup to launch with One UI 9, bringing the company’s latest Galaxy AI and camera experiences to the Fan Edition range.
“Galaxy S26 FE is purposefully designed to deliver the signature strengths of the Galaxy S series,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Gets New AI And Camera Features
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 FE with a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom.
The front camera has also been upgraded to a 12 MP sensor with an 85-degree field of view, compared with the narrower field of view on the Galaxy S25 FE.
One of the more notable additions is My FanCam, a feature previously introduced on Samsung’s latest foldables. It can track a selected person during video recording and automatically reframe the shot to keep the subject centered.
Samsung is also bringing Super Steady with Horizontal Lock to the device for more level video footage, along with Nightography for low-light photography. Photo Assist allows users to modify images using natural-language prompts, including adding elements, restoring missing areas, or changing aspects of an image.
Gemini Omni is also supported, allowing eligible users to create and edit video clips from photos and videos stored in their Gallery.
One UI 9 Brings More Context-Aware Galaxy AI
The Galaxy S26 FE runs Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9 and includes an updated version of Now Brief.
Users can customize briefing cards for information such as weather and wellness, while Now Nudge can surface contextual suggestions based on supported third-party apps and notifications.
Samsung has also updated Circle to Search with Google to allow users to search for multiple items within the same image rather than identifying them individually.
The phone includes a six-month trial of Google AI Pro for eligible users, which Samsung says includes expanded AI functionality and 5 TB of cloud storage. The service is valued at $19.99 per month, although offer terms and availability can vary by market.
Galaxy S26 FE Packs A 4,900mAh Battery And Exynos 2500
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 FE is powered by Samsung’s 3 nm Exynos 2500 processor and comes with 8 GB of memory.
Samsung lists 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage configurations globally, although storage options can differ depending on the market or carrier.

Its 4,900 mAh battery supports 45 W wired charging, 15 W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare. Samsung’s global announcement says the device can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes when used with a compatible 45 W adapter, which is sold separately.
The Galaxy S26 FE also sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,900 nits.
It measures 7.4 mm thick, weighs 193 grams, supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, and carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Samsung Promises Seven Years Of Software Support
Samsung says the Galaxy S26 FE will receive up to seven generations of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The company has also upgraded Smart Switch, allowing users moving from Android or iOS to transfer data such as passwords, passkeys, call history, accessibility settings, and eSIM information wirelessly using a QR code.
The Galaxy S26 FE will be available starting September 4 in select markets in Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio.
Samsung’s global announcement does not specify pricing, meaning buyers will need to check local Samsung channels as regional pricing and configurations are announced.
