Oracle Adds 50+ Generative AI Capabilities To Its Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite!
Updated on Fri, Mar 15, 2024
This becomes even more vital for technology companies, who provide services to other businesses.
Keeping in line with that thought, Oracle, the American multinational computer technology company, made an announcement that’s set to help their customers and businesses using their products by offering them the powerful benefits of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
So, what was the announcement all about and how will it help businesses? Let’s explore!
What Did Oracle Announce?
-
In a press release note published on Oracle’s website, the company announced that it was bringing new GenAI capabilities to its Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite.
-
The idea behind the move is to help customers improve decision-making and enhance the employee and customer experience.
-
These new AI additions embed generative AI capabilities into existing business workflows across finance, supply chain, HR, sales, marketing and service.
-
It will also be added to the Oracle Guided Journeys’ extensibility framework, enabling customers and partners to incorporate more GenAI capabilities to support their unique industry and competitive needs.
-
This will allow “Oracle Cloud HCM and Oracle Cloud SCM customers and partners to add their own generative AI capabilities that complement and seamlessly integrate with their existing Oracle Fusion Applications investments.”
How Will Oracle’s Generative AI Capabilities Help Businesses?
-
The GenAI capabilities embedded within Oracle Fusion Applications are built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and are designed to respect customers’ enterprise data, privacy and security.
-
As per the release, “With OCI Generative AI Service, no customer data is shared with large language model (LLM) providers or seen by other customers.”
-
Furthermore, businesses using their data are the only ones allowed to use custom models trained on that data. The platform also comes with role-based security within the workflows that “only recommends content that end users are entitled to view.”
-
Coming to its services, Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) services help identify anomalies, variances and biases based on pattern recognition, help finance professionals explain variances and trends impacting the business, help program managers generate executive summaries, generate tailored project plans and more.
-
Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) solutions help product specialists quickly generate standardized product descriptions, help procurement professionals quickly and efficiently add suppliers to their organization’s supply chain with supplier recommendations, help procurement professionals quickly generate a customized cover page summary for a specific negotiation among other capabilities.
-
Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) services come with capabilities to quickly build high-quality landing pages for different job categories, job match explanations that help candidates better understand where best fit within an organization, a candidate assistant, a survey generator to help managers generate quick surveys for their teams and more.
-
Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX) solutions can help call center agents generate intelligent, concise and clear summaries of customer chat sessions, help salespeople improve productivity by generating customer success stories, help marketers improve productivity by providing subject line recommendations, email and landing page copy and more.
What Did Oracle Executives Say?
-
Steve Miranda, Executive VP of Applications Development at Oracle, said, “We are committed to delivering innovation that matters to our customers, and the combination of OCI, Fusion Applications, and the thousands of customers that use these applications daily enables us to continually improve our services and deliver best-in-class AI.”
-
“We have been using AI in our applications for several years and now we are introducing more ways for customers to take advantage of generative AI across the suite. With additional embedded capabilities and an expanded extensibility framework, our customers can quickly and easily take advantage of the latest generative AI advancements to help increase productivity, reduce costs, expand insights, and improve the employee and customer experience.”
Do you think Oracle’s move will help it gain an edge over competing technology companies and solutions platforms? Do you think its rivals need to make similar moves to enhance their offerings?
