Microsoft is taking businesses to new heights by integrating the latest technology, including Large Language Models powered by OpenAI's GPT-3.5. On February 2nd, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced the general availability of Microsoft Teams Premium, a collaboration platform to revolutionize the way meetings are conducted.

With Microsoft Teams Premium, businesses can expect a more intelligent, personalized and protected meeting experience, whether it's one-on-one, large meetings, virtual appointments, or webinars. The platform also leverages the power of AI to provide real-time translations from 40 different spoken languages, automatically generate meeting notes and even personalize highlights.

In addition to Microsoft Teams Premium, the company has also previewed a new generative AI experience in Viva Sales, a seller experience application that blends productivity tools and business processes. According to Charles Lamanna, Corporate Vice President of Business Applications and Platforms at Microsoft, "Viva Sales aims to make sellers more productive using the tools they already know and love. The app uses OpenAI API inside Azure Cognitive Services, which guarantees robust privacy and protects users' data."

However, recently, an incident raised a question on the credibility of ChatGPT. On February 1st, an AI and Machine Learning researcher, Sebastian Raschka, conducted research that raises questions about the credibility of ChatGPT. The OpenAI Text Classifier on ChatGPT produced varied results when tested on text snippets from a book published in 2015. The tool reported that the book's preface was "unclear" if it was written by AI, while the foreword was "possibly AI," and a paragraph from the first chapter was "likely AI." Wait, that's not all – what's even more concerning is how ChatGPT classified the first page of Shakespeare's Macbeth: "The classifier considers the text to be likely AI-generated.

In response to this controversy, owners of ChatGPT stated that the classifier aims to help mitigate false claims that a human wrote AI-generated text. However, it still has several limitations and should be used to complement other methods of determining the source of text instead of being the primary decision-making tool.

Despite the controversy surrounding ChatGPT, it seems like Microsoft is committed to leveraging its power to make its apps more interactive and boost the productivity of organizations. Integrating the latest AI technology shows Microsoft's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions to businesses and taking them to new heights.

Now, only time will tell if AI models like ChatGPT will be able to live up to the hype. What are your views on this news? Will Microsoft be able to leverage the power of ChatGPT to make its apps more interactive? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
