Hitachi And Google Cloud Partner To Boost GenAI Innovation And Productivity

What Did Hitachi And Google Cloud Announce?

 

• As per a news release published on its website, Hitachi Ltd. announced a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud that aims to accelerate enterprise innovation and productivity with generative AI.

• The partnership will form the new Hitachi Google Cloud Business Unit and the Google Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), which will led by GlobalLogic, a leader in digital engineering and a subsidiary of the Hitachi Group.

• The idea is to help businesses solve industry challenges using Gemini, Vertex AI and other cloud technologies, while also enhancing its own products and services, which will be done by adopting Google Cloud’s AI.

• This will also allow it to grow Lumada, its core digital business platform, as well as advance operational efficiencies for the Hitachi Group.

• Additionally, Hitachi will incorporate training on Google Cloud's GenAI as part of Hitachi's GenAI Professional training program.

• The release further mentions, “The program will deepen the expertise and managed services available through these business units, which will ensure large-scale organizations have access to the resources needed to fundamentally improve how they operate with AI.”

 

What Will The Hitachi And Google Cloud Partnership Focus On?

 

• Hitachi will use Gemini models to build new GenAI solutions to help businesses modernize their software systems and solutions.

• Furthermore, it will adopt Google Cloud Contact Center AI to enhance its customer service experience.

• The move will bring in new safe and secure GenAI solutions for customers using on-premises and cloud environments, which will enable them to modernize operations while retaining existing IT environments.

• Hitachi and Google Cloud will work together to optimize their sales, marketing and engineering teams to enable customers across industries to successfully deploy and manage GenAI projects through the new business units.

• The move will also focus on strengthening GenAI talent development, which will see Hitachi train over 50,000 GenAI Professionals through its global training program, including training on Google Cloud's GenAI solutions and AI technology.

• As per the release, “GlobalLogic and Google Cloud have collaborated for more than 15 years and helped empower enterprises with solutions that achieve their business objectives with efficiency and scale.”
