Overall Rating
The advancement of technology hasn’t been restricted to business applications only. With technology like artificial intelligence (AI), healthcare providers and hospitals are able to bring better solutions and services to patients, doctors and health professionals.

This includes the progress made in technologies like Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), which offers telehealth services in the form of patients using mobile medical devices to gather patient-generated health data (PGHD) for healthcare professionals to view without needing the patient to make a visit to the clinic or hospital.

As per reports, the global remote patient monitoring market (revenue) was around $14 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach $41.7 billion by 2028, with a CAGR of 20.1% (2023 - 2028).

Leading the charge in this effort is Clinitouch, which offers smart, simple remote patient monitoring technology built by experts in health, as per its website.

Now, Clinitouch has come out with a range of announcements, that’s set to affect the global remote patient monitoring (RPM) industry.

So, what did Clinitouch announce and what will it bring to the healthcare industry? Let's explore!

What Did Clinitouch Reveal?

  • Clinitouch announced that it has partnered with Riyadh-based HoopoeView Ltd., which became the first organization to bring Clinitouch to the Middle East.

  • The idea of the partnership is to provide healthcare beyond hospitals, improving access to care and minimizing overcrowding at hospitals and the strains thereof.

  • Using the platform, patients can complete health questionnaires and input vital signs from their homes.

  • It will also help with real-time remote symptom monitoring, enabling timely interventions.

  • Clinitouch’s RPM brings with it more than a decade of proven results, being used in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

  • Furthermore, this move helps fulfill the Saudi government’s Healthcare Sector Transformation Programme and ‘Vision 2030’ agenda, for which the main focus is to deliver more comprehensive, effective and integrated healthcare services.

  • While the partnership was officially announced at Arab Health in Dubai in January, it forms only one of Clinitouch’s recent announcements of tie-ups aimed at providing its remote patient monitoring technology.

Where Else Is Clinitouch Making An Impact?

  • More recently, the healthcare provider partnered with Salveo Healthcare, which became the first partner to bring Clinitouch’s RPM technology to at-risk patients in Australia.

  • The idea here is the pretty much the same, with the aim to keep the people of Tasmania, Australia out of hospital and managing their healthcare from home.

  • As per the announcement, 100+ patients are expected to be onboarded to the program.

  • Furthermore, Clinitouch and Salveo worked together to co-design over nine tailored pathways, which includes COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), diabetes and heart failure.

  • The move comes at a crucial time, as half of all preventable hospitalizations are related to chronic conditions and this way patients can receive home care without the need for hospital visits.

  • Ahead of this, Clinitouch’s technology is finding its way into many new territories, thanks to a global partnership program that’s backed by the UK’s Department for Business and Trade.

  • This includes expansion across the UK, India and Namibia, with digital health projects now being designed across 12 countries and five continents.
