Atos & AWS Launch Global GenAI Innovation Studio As Atos Reveal New CEO & Chairman

As the world’s dependency and adoption of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies and tools continue to grow, artificial intelligence (AI) companies are striving to provide the latest and most powerful capabilities.

This includes making moves such as creating new products and platforms, building centers of excellence, enabling training, boosting research and development efforts, restructuring workforces including C-Suite executives and more.

Atos Group, a global leader in digital transformation, is looking to do the same through its latest move with Amazon’s AWS (Amazon Web Services).

The two companies announced the launch of a new global GenAI Innovation Studio.

Atos Group And AWS Reveal New GenAI Innovation Studio

Through a news release published on its website, Atos announced the launch of its cutting-edge 6,000-square-foot GenAI Innovation Studio, which will be located in Pune, India.

The launch event will be conducted between October 15 to 17, 2024.

The move includes the participation of Atos’ Eviden, its leading digital, cloud, big data and security arm.

Speaking about the move, Diane Galbe, Senior Executive VP of Atos Group, said, “We are thrilled to open this global co-innovation GenAI Studio with AWS.”

“The center will foster close collaboration with our clients around the world, enabling us to develop solutions and accelerators that precisely address their specific needs and challenges.”

“By harnessing the power of generative AI, we aim to empower our customers to fully leverage data and AI to drive transformation and innovation across all their activities.”

What Will The GenAI Innovation Studio Offer?

The facility aims to unlock the potential of GenAI and empower businesses to accelerate innovation, transform customer experiences and optimize productivity.

Atos and AWS will collaborate to develop groundbreaking GenAI solutions that tackle industry-specific challenges and provide its customers with the opportunity to engage in envisioning sessions and hands-on proofs-of-value that are tailored to their unique needs. 

The idea is to help accelerate their AI adoption and enhance their experience of real-world GenAI applications.

Furthermore, the GenAI Innovation Studio will host regular events fostering a culture of learning and innovation, including training and certification programs, hackathons and AWS DeepRacer competitions.

The Studio is a part of the 5-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) established between Eviden and AWS last year.


On the same day, Atos launched its GenAI Innovation Studio, it also announced the appointment of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors - Philippe Salle.

This move will be effective immediately and will be followed by Salle being appointed as Chairman and CEO from February 1, 2025.

Jean-Pierre Mustier, the company’s current CEO, will remain in charge until January 31, 2025. He will remain a member of the Board of Directors.
