Financial teams often deal with time-consuming tasks that require precision and constant coordination across tools. From preparing client materials to ensuring compliance, much of this work can slow down operations. Well, new updates from Anthropic aim to reduce that burden by bringing automation and better integration into everyday financial workflows.

Anthropic has introduced ten ready-to-use AI agent templates designed specifically for financial services. These agents are built to handle tasks such as pitchbook creation, KYC screening, financial modeling, and month-end closing.

Each template combines task-specific instructions, secure data access, and supporting subagents that can assist with detailed steps like comparables analysis or methodology checks.

These agents are available as plugins within Claude Cowork and Claude Code, and as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents. This allows firms to either run them alongside analysts or deploy them autonomously for longer workflows, such as managing multiple deals or handling scheduled processes.

The idea is to help teams implement working solutions in days rather than months, while still keeping users involved in reviewing and approving outputs.

Anthropic has also expanded Claude’s functionality across Microsoft 365 tools. It now integrates with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with Outlook support coming soon. This means users can build a financial model in Excel and directly turn it into a presentation in PowerPoint without re-entering information.

In Outlook, Claude can assist with managing emails, scheduling, and drafting responses, while in Word it can help edit documents based on internal templates.

The updates are optimized for Claude Opus 4.7, which is positioned as a leading model for financial tasks and has shown strong performance on finance-related benchmarks.
