Amazon Releases Refreshed Devices Built For Alexa+ At Its 2025 Hardware Event

Earlier in the year, e-commerce and technology giant Amazon introduced the world to the all-new Alexa+ (pronounced Alexa Plus), its upgraded virtual assistant, which marked the first major overhaul to the Alexa series since its debut over a decade ago.
Now, at its fall 2025 hardware event (which wasn’t livestreamed, just like its other events), Amazon has unveiled a slew of upgraded products designed around Alexa+, some of which were long overdue.
Here are all the top announcements made at the event.
Amazon unveiled four new Echo devices, purpose-built for Alexa+, which include Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11, and are the most advanced Echo devices ever built.
As per Amazon, they’ve been customized and purpose-built for Alexa+.
With an all-new look and feel, the new devices “deliver more processing power, memory, edge-based computing, and advanced sensing capabilities to enable Alexa+ to deliver ambient AI experiences that fade into the background of daily life.”
They come with two custom-designed silicon chips—AZ3 and AZ3 Pro—and sport an all-new AI Accelerator that can run AI edge models. The Echo Dot Max is powered by AZ3, which brings in improved microphones and background noise removal. The others feature AZ3 Pro chips, which add support for state-of-the-art language models and vision transformers.
Customers who purchase new Echo devices will automatically get access to Alexa+.
These devices are available for pre-order, with Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio shipping on October 29 and the new Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 on November 12.
Amazon’s custom sensor platform, Omnisense, delivers exceptional performance by using sensors and signals such as a 13-megapixel camera, audio, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, accelerometer, and Wi-Fi CSI.
The Echo Dot Max comes with a sophisticated two-way speaker system and a high-excursion woofer optimized for deep bass that offers nearly 3x the bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th gen). It also features touch controls and an LED ring light. It’s priced at $99.99, double the $49.99 Echo Dot.
Echo Studio is 40% smaller than the original, combines a powerful high-excursion woofer that delivers deep, immersive bass, supports spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, sports a spherical design, is built using premium material, and costs $219.99.
Users can connect up to five Echo Studio or Echo Dot Max devices with compatible Fire TV sticks, a process that is made easier when using Alexa Home Theater.
Amazon’s Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 come with new, modern, custom, high-density, high-definition displays (8-inch and 11-inch) that feature over a million pixels that combine in-cell touch and negative liquid crystal design. Both come with front-facing stereo speakers and a custom woofer and can greet users when they walk up to the device.
With a maximized viewable screen area, users can control all their connected devices, leverage Alexa’s capabilities to organize their homes, organize to-do lists, browse a wide range of entertainment options, shop for essentials and more, manage their health and wellness, and connect to services such as Zigbee, Matter, Thread, and Oura.
Amazon’s Echo Show 8 will cost $179.99, and the Echo Show 11 is priced at $219.99.
Amazon revealed new Fire TV devices that have Alexa+ built in, and are “even faster, smarter, and designed around how you actually watch TV.”
Its new flagship Omni QLED Series, which comes with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ Adaptive technology, and delivers a display that’s 60% brighter than previous models, is available from 50 inches to 75 inches (50", 55", 65", and 75") and starts at $479.99.
It also comes with Amazon’s Omnisense technology (see above), which includes a feature where the TV can turn itself on when a user enters the room and power down when they leave. When they want to watch something, they can just talk directly to Alexa+ through the TV.
Amazon’s Fire TV 2-Series & 4-Series are available from 32 inches to 55 inches, where prices start from $159.99 for 2-Series and $329.99 for 4-Series. Both feature ultra-thin metal bezels, new quad-core processors that are 30% faster than before, and Dialogue Boost—a new feature that turns up voice volume without increasing background noise.
These redesigned TVs see the 2-Series (32" and 40") deliver HD, and the 4-Series (43", 50", and 55") offers 4K resolution.
Amazon also showed off its newest Fire TV Stick, the 4K Select, which delivers vibrant 4K picture quality with HDR10+ support, and fast operation through its new, responsive, and highly efficient operating system, Vega. It’s expected to soon support Xbox Gaming, Luna, and Alexa+. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select will cost $39.99.
All these devices are available for pre-order today and begin shipping next month, and give users access to Alexa+.
Amazon unveiled a redesigned Kindle Scribe, which comes with the first-ever color Scribe.
The new Kindle comes with a new paper-like design that is thinner, lighter, and faster, with new productivity features, including AI-powered notebook search.
With a thickness of 5.4mm and a weight of 400g, it comes with 40% faster writing and page turns. It sports a larger 11-inch glare-free display that’s “the perfect size for reviewing full-sized documents, feels natural for notetaking, and is easy to take with you wherever you go.”
The new lineup’s innovation spans a new front light system with miniaturized LEDs that offer a narrower bezel and uniform lighting, a new texture-molded glass to improve pen movement friction, a rearchitected display stack that makes it feel like writing directly on the page, and a new quad-core chip, more memory, and Amazon’s latest Oxide display technology.
Kindle Scribe Colorsoft offers the same new design with a fluid color writing experience that uses Amazon’s custom-built Colorsoft display technology to create colors that are soft and don’t hurt a user’s eyes. It provides weeks of battery life.
Among a host of features, users will soon be able to send their notes and documents to Alexa+ and have a conversation about them.
It will be available to users later in the year (in the U.S.) with prices for Kindle Scribe starting at $499.99 ($429.99 without a front light) and Kindle Scribe Colorsoft starting at $629.99.

The Blink Outdoor 2K+ is a wireless camera with 4x zoom capability, enhanced low-light performance, audio with noise-cancelling two-way talk, smart notifications (person and vehicle detection), long-lasting battery life, custom chips, and the capability to install these cameras anywhere.
Indoor monitoring is powered by Blink Mini 2K+, which offers similar features to its outdoor counterpart. However, it can be used outdoors with Blink’s Weather-Resistant Power Adapter.
Blink also showed off Blink Arc, a unique product that combines two Blink Mini 2K+ cameras in one device. It’s powered by a single source and mounted from one point, offering a 180-degree panoramic view, cutting out the need for multi-camera setups. It offers a nearly 6-megapixel resolution that makes it ideal for large indoor spaces as well as outdoor spaces.
Blink Outdoor 2K+ ($89.99), Blink Mini 2K+ ($49.99), Blink Arc ($99.99), and Blink Arc mount ($19.99) are available for preorder.
Amazon’s Ring introduced its first-ever 4K cameras and newest 2K cameras and doorbells that come with an innovative AI feature that helps reunite lost pets with their families. This is powered through the Search Party for dogs feature, which leverages Ring's cameras to notify camera owners if they spot what might be the missing dog.
Meanwhile, the Familiar Faces feature recognizes familiar people, reducing unnecessary notifications.
It also revealed a new feature called Retinal Vision, which unlocks a new level of intelligence and optimizes every step of the imaging process with advanced AI tuning. Using a 10x zoom and enhanced low-light performance, Retinal 4K devices offer deeper details, even in the most challenging conditions. Retinal 2K may be lower resolution, but it doesn’t compromise on effectiveness.
AI technology, including Alexa+, further enhances how the devices “see” and act on behalf of a user.
Its product lineup spans Ring Wired Doorbell Pro ($249.99), Wired Doorbell Plus ($179.99), Outdoor Cam Pro ($199.99, $299.98 PoE), Spotlight Cam Pro ($249.99, $349.98 PoE), Floodlight Cam Pro ($279.99), Indoor Cam Plus ($59.99), and Wired Doorbell Elite ($499.99), which are available for pre-order.
Search Party for dogs will begin rolling out in November, followed by cats and other pets. Familiar Faces will become available in December.
