Go!Foton Expands PEACOC Multiport Mid-Span Terminal Line With New Mid-Size Solution For Flexible Fiber Broadband Deployments

Solution designed for maximum configurability and ease of use for high bandwidth residential and business network architectures
SOMERSET, N.J., Sept. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Go!Foton, a global leader in fiber optic connectivity solutions, today announced the addition of a new Mid-Size PEACOC Multiport Mid-Span Terminal (MMT) to its industry-recognized portfolio of broadband deployment solutions. With a 12-port maximum, the mid-size unit rounds out Go!Foton's family of fiber terminals which already includes 4-port and 16-port models delivering network operators unmatched flexibility to right-size their broadband deployments.
What sets the PEACOC MMT apart
Like its sister solutions, the new 12-port fiber terminal supports any network architecture. The Mid-Size PEACOC MMT may be configured as a mid-span splice and drop closure (along with being able to be used in the various splitting designs) and is suitable for WDM optical components, making it ideal for hybrid fiber coax (HFC), distributed access architectures (DAA), Metro Ethernet, and fiber to the home (FTTH) architectures.
The MMT platform can be delivered fully customized to customer requirements whether preloaded with connectorized drop cables, adapters, and splitters, or shipped empty for maximum design flexibility. Leveraging standard market-available connectors and splitters, the terminal ensures seamless compatibility for both today's and tomorrow's network builds.
Beyond its configurability and non-proprietary optical components, the Mid-Size PEACOC MMT fiber terminal is
- GR-771 certified, providing assurance that it will perform in harsh environmental conditions
- Compact yet roomy enough for ample slack storage inside the unit
- Simple to install and manage, reducing deployment complexity in the field
Available in calendar Q4 2025, the new fiber terminal is ideal for MSOs, telcos, ISPs, and broadband providers expanding services to residential and enterprise customers.
"With the introduction of our Mid-Size PEACOC MMT, we have an unmatched family of fiber terminals that can be right-sized for any broadband deployment," said Tracey McMeekin, Product Manager at Go!Foton. "Every unit in the MMT line can be configured to customer preference, ensuring that we design solutions adaptable to their specific needs. These solutions simplify planning and management for engineering, procurement, and field teams. In fact, usability is key for us. And the ample slack storage in the new terminal is just one more way we've prioritized the installer and operator experience."
