Designed to cut project timelines and eliminate budget uncertainty, SSP Accelerate makes Utility Network adoption more achievable than ever.
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#ElectricUtilities--SSP Innovations, LLC (SSP), SSP Innovations announced today the extension of its SSP Accelerate offering to electric & gas utilities that have up to one million meters. The packaged offering, previously only available to utilities with 100,000 or fewer meters, helps electric and gas utilities migrate from Esri’s Geometric Network to the Utility Network.
SSP Accelerate provides a straightforward and affordable path to deploying Esri’s Utility Network. The solution starts with a pre-built design that reflects industry-best practices and culminates in a fully functional Utility Network implementation, complete with migrated data, network editing & management tools, and staff training. The fixed-fee package dramatically reduces the time, cost, and complexity of implementing the Utility Network.
“With SSP’s solution, we were able to move from a disconnected network to a fully connected Utility Network with advanced capabilities in just three months,” said Rick Hansen, Washington City Power Director. “We now have a solid foundation to build out our AMI and OMS solutions.”
By starting with a pre-built solution that covers the majority of a typical utility’s requirements, SSP Accelerate minimizes staff impacts and lets utilities focus their attention on moving their people, workflows, and data to the new system.
“Most utilities don’t have the appetite for a multi-year GIS upgrade,” said Wendy Jacobs, Executive Director Product Management. “We’re bringing utilities a budget-friendly solution that quickly gets them where they need to go. With SSP Accelerate, moving the Utility Network in under six months is now a reality for the majority of the electric & gas industry.”
“Legacy GIS solutions were never designed to support the advanced operational systems utilities are using today,” said Patrick Vardeman, SSP CEO. “The Utility Network isn't just an upgrade – it's an operational imperative for utilities looking to manage in today’s environment. SSP is making it easier for organizations to build the modern geospatial foundation they need to advance and evolve their business.”
Esri ArcGIS Pro Utility Network extension is a GIS solution that helps utilities manage their asset networks. The solution can act effectively as a digital twin of a utility’s installed network to support energy management, restoration, and field operations. The migration effort is typically a substantial undertaking.
