New privacy screen filters keep sensitive information secure and filter 60% of blue light to support eye comfort throughout the workday.1
BURLINGAME, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#bluelight--Kensington®, a worldwide leader of desktop computing and mobility solutions for IT, business, and home office professionals, today introduced a new line of privacy screen filters featuring patented Eyesafe® RPF60 technology. The new Kensington Eyesafe Privacy Screen Filters offer premium blue light filtration to enhance visual comfort, while maintaining the trusted data protection and durability Kensington privacy screens are known for.
Kensington Eyesafe Blue Light Privacy Screen Filters combine microlouver technology to block side views, with targeted blue light filtration in 435–440 nanometer (nm) range—identified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) as the most toxic wavelengths of the blue spectrum2. Developed in collaboration with the Eyesafe Vision Health Advisory Board, a global team of optometrists and ophthalmologists, this patented technology filters 60% of blue light1, while maintaining screen clarity and color accuracy.
Key Benefits of Kensington Eyesafe Blue Light Privacy Screen Filters:
- Privacy Protection: Narrows the field of vision on the screen to ±30º, helping keep the information private and reducing the chances of a visual data breach.
- Anti-Reflective Coating: Reduces glare from any outside light sources that can interfere with the user’s viewing clarity.
- Eyesafe RPF60 Technology: Filters 60% of blue light in the wavelengths posing the greatest risk to eye health,1 to help increase visual comfort.
- Protection without Color Compromise: Unlike traditional blue light filters, Eyesafe® technology reduces blue light without yellow tint or distortion.
- Developed in Collaboration with Doctors: Eyesafe blue light filtering technology is developed with leading optometrists and ophthalmologists from across the globe.
Kensington Eyesafe Blue Light Privacy Screen Filters are ideal for computer workers, healthcare professionals, financial advisers, and any user who spends long hours in front of screens and values both privacy and eye comfort.
“In today’s work environment, people need tools that protect data, reduce distractions, and support comfort through long days of working in front of computer screens,” said Giovanni Sena, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Kensington. “Through our collaboration with Eyesafe, we’re delivering privacy solutions that go beyond security by helping to reduce blue light exposure and enhance visual comfort, so users can stay focused and productive.”
“We designed Eyesafe Technology to meet the real-world needs of people who spend hours on screens by reducing their exposure to harmful blue light while keeping colors true and visuals sharp,” said Justin Barrett, CEO and Co-Founder of Eyesafe. “Our partnership with Kensington delivers high-performance privacy screens that combine trusted data protection with advanced blue light filtration to support user comfort throughout the day.”
