Overview

What if the future of computing isn’t about choosing between AI, LLMs, or quantum—but about weaving them into one unstoppable force?

In this eye-opening episode of Discover Dialogues, hosted by Nikhil Sonawane; Orlagh Neary shares her extraordinary journey—one that’s taken her across industries, technologies, and borders, all while helping shape the future of computing.

With a deep-rooted history in AI, developer platforms, and localization, Orlagh now leads Microsoft’s Quantum and AI Ecosystem Engagement & GTM efforts. She’s also a board member at Cambrian Futures and a key advisor to UNESCO’s International Year of Quantum. Her focus: transforming what’s emerging into what’s essential.

What’s most striking is how Orlagh bridges emerging technology with enterprise priorities. She breaks down the symbiotic relationship between AI (pattern recognition), LLMs (language), and Quantum (scale)—not as silos, but as a “dream team” that will reshape entire industries.

Inside the episode:

  • Why quantum computing isn’t the future—it’s the frontier

  • The role of AI in enhancing LLM accuracy and quantum fault tolerance

  • Real-world scenarios where the trio is delivering value: drug discovery, energy innovation, supply chain optimization

  • The business case for Quantum Safety and why it’s not just about encryption—it’s about futureproofing your data and brand

  • How early alignment in partnerships creates scalable impact, even in undefined markets

Why being “Quantum Ready” is more about people, processes, and perspective than it is about installing a machine
