The amazing abilities of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) are revolutionizing processes and operations across a wide range of industries and businesses.

This includes database migration and application conversion leader Ispirer Systems, which recently announced a collaboration with Google’s Gemini to enhance its platform’s capabilities, using AI and GenAI technologies.

Ispirer comes in with over 1,000 customers spanning Fortune 500 and Global 2000 corporations, which includes names such as Toyota, Staples, Continental, Eaton and others.

So, what did the company reveal about its latest GenAI-driven move? Let’s explore!

What Is Ispirer Systems’ New Gemini Enhancement About?

  • Through a press release, Ispirer Systems announced a collaboration with Google’s Gemini to bring an AI assistant to its database migration solution, SQLWays Wizard.

  • This enhancement will help businesses transform their database migration processes by delivering unmatched speed, accuracy and efficiency when managing and executing post-migration database refinement.

  • It will also enable users to automate complex migration processes and cut down time spent on manual efforts.

  • As such, this upgrade will result in reducing migration time and post-migration refinement and optimization by up to 80%.

  • This is done by suggesting code optimizations, identifying errors and refining scripts in real-time.

  • Furthermore, the solution leverages machine learning models to increase accuracy and reliability, while also learning from previous migrations to improve future ones.

  • With its ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations, it will bring users improved decision-making.

  • In addition to aligning all migration processes with best practices, the addition can automatically generate detailed documents to streamline future audits and compliance checks.

  • This includes generating reports with detailed information about migrated objects, as well as providing clear explanations of the migration logic, expected inputs and outputs.

  • The AI assistant also manages code enhancement after conversion, while allowing users to simply ask the AI to fix errors when submitting updated code or even during import.

  • This extends to identifying and refactoring outdated or redundant SQL constructs.

  • According to Ispirer Systems, code security has been a top priority.

What Security Features Does The Enhancement Offer?

  • According to a blog post detailing the AI enhancements, published on Ispirer Systems’ website, code security, privacy and data protection play an important role in the use of its solutions and tools.

  • This includes offering users optional use of the AI assistant, i.e., they can choose to enable or disable it according to their preferences and needs.

  • Ahead of this, the AI assistant can only be used after the initial migration process is fully completed, ensuring it’s used in controlled environments only.

  • Furthermore, the AI assistant doesn’t have direct access to the client’s code or converted code, operating as a separate layer.

  • To interact with the AI assistant, users use their own Gemini account credentials, ensuring all communication is fully authenticated and traceable.
