As artificial intelligence (AI) and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) capabilities continue to boost processes and increase in deployment, technology service providers rush to fit their offerings with the latest AI technology.

This is what Capgemini, the global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation and SAP, the world's leading enterprise resource planning software vendor and software solutions provider, had in mind with its latest partnership.

So, let’s explore what the two companies revealed about the move and how it will help customers!

What Is The Capgemini And SAP Collaboration About?

  • Through a news release published on its website, Capgemini announced that it was expanding its long-standing strategic partnership with SAP to help organizations effectively implement and deploy GenAI capabilities across key processes and functions such as HR, sales, procurement and sustainability.

  • The new collaboration blends Capgemini’s expertise in data, AI, enabling SAP transformations and GenAI solutions with SAP’s Business AI portfolio.

  • The aim is to help clients enhance their most complex business processes.

  • This will also see Capgemini expand its dedicated Global SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) to bring in three key dimensions.

  • The first includes providing customized, industry-specific use-cases to augment business processes and enhance daily productivity with AI and GenAI.

  • The second will use GenAI accelerators throughout the project lifecycle “in the delivery framework of large SAP transformations” to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

  • The third includes upskilling the workforce and Capgemini’s SAP practitioners on SAP’s generative AI methods.

  • This adds to the moves already being made by the two companies, wherein they’re working with clients to leverage generative AI to help them achieve sustainability targets, drive intelligent procurement and enable sales functions.

  • According to a study by Capgemini published on the same day, organizations are rapidly embracing generative AI, which has seen its deployment quadruple since 2023.

  • This includes a wide range of companies (80%) increasing their year-on-year investment in GenAI, while 75% say it’s helped drive revenue and innovation.

  • Furthermore, 97% of the companies surveyed said they allow their employees to use GenAI in some capacity.
