Atlassian Expands Confluence With Visual AI Tool Remix And Third-Party Agents!
Updated on Thu, Apr 9, 2026
TL;DR
- Atlassian launched new AI tools in Confluence to turn content into visuals and actionable outputs.
- The new Remix tool converts data into charts and graphics directly within the platform.
- Three third-party agents now help users build prototypes, apps, and presentations from the same content.
Atlassian has introduced new AI-powered features designed to help teams turn existing content into more actionable outputs, without leaving the platform.
At the center of this is Remix, a visual tool now available in open beta. It allows users to convert data and information stored in Confluence into charts and graphics. The tool doesn’t just generate visuals but also recommends the most suitable format based on the content, helping users present information more effectively without relying on external software.
Alongside Remix, Atlassian has launched three third-party agents that integrate directly within Confluence using model context protocols. These integrations extend what teams can do with their content in a more seamless way.
One agent connects with Lovable, enabling users to turn product ideas and data into working prototypes. Another integrates with Replit, allowing technical documents to be converted into starter applications. The third works with Gamma, helping teams create presentations and slides directly from their existing content.
These updates also build on Atlassian’s broader AI push through Rovo, its AI-powered assistant that connects knowledge across tools like Confluence and Jira. While Rovo focuses on finding, summarizing, and surfacing information, features like Remix and these agents take it a step further, helping teams actually act on that information within the same workspace.
“With Remix and agents in Confluence, a single page becomes the starting point for whatever comes next: a clear story for leaders, a prototype for builders, or a walkthrough for customers, all from the same source of truth,” said Sanchan Saxena, senior vice president of teamwork collaboration at Atlassian. “When you remove that friction, teams do more than manage documents; they create the next generation of products and experiences,” he added.
Topics For More Insights:
The launch shows a broader industry shift. Rather than introducing standalone AI platforms, companies are increasingly integrating AI capabilities into existing tools. Atlassian has already taken similar steps with Jira, while others like Salesforce and OpenAI are also focusing on integrating AI into everyday workflows.
The direction is clear. Reduce friction, keep work in one place, and make it easier for teams to move from planning to execution without unnecessary complexity.
